Terrible company

Terrible company - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered an item a week ago and I was told it was despatched last thursday and it has still not arrived. It was a birthday gift for a very good friend who lives far away so I don't get to see her often and whose birthday is TODAY and because of this company's shambolic service, I had nothing to give her on her 50th birthday. NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL NOT DELIVER ON TIME. VERY RUDE IGNORANT STAFF - BLAMED DELAY ON SUMMER SALE! DONT SAY YOU WILL DELIVER IN 5 DAYS IF YOU WONT. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN

Read the poor 1 star reviews theres a common theme

Sadly a very dismal service all round. After receiving goods delivered late by chosen courier especially after waiting in for it and paid a premium price for the pleasure, an item was broken as a result of poor packaging. The company was informed and to date item has not been received. Poor excuses of non delivery etc.... yet more excuses. Upshot being that still dont have item. Have been expected to ring round, arrange delivery to local venue but have no item number. Informed them that we would take the hit of the loss of not receiving item. No reply to that, so clear.y a firm thats happy to have a very disgruntled customer. Fine, will not be using them and am disappointed at total lack of customer care or wish for customer satisfaction. Will not be using them again! Clearly business must be fine at their end that they can be so cavalier. Have tried elsewhere where the customer service has been better. What a complete disappointment!

Personal Touch Worth So Much

I had a bad experience with a personalised candle I bought from Temptation Gifts but I have to say they have redeemed themselves and I have to change my rating due to the customer service now received. I received a personal call apologising for the bad experience and the person who rang me was very pleasant and helpful and agreed that the impersonal standard e -mail reply is unacceptable and it is sometimes better to speak to customers personally. Following the telephone call I felt much better and my issue was resolved successfully so have upgraded my rating and would definitely deal with Tempation Gifts again

I placed an order recently for two wax melters. The package arrived in Sweden really fast, ahead of schedule. And I'm very happy with the items: great quality, great addition to my home. Can't wait to order more from them, particularly the Yankee Candle items, which I'm a devoted fan of. Great site. Keep it up!

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. No reply to email and so called through and even worse dismissive telephone customer service. Received goods not up to quality standards and shedding glitter more than expected and usual. I own over 150 or more Christmas tree decorations and many are glittery and of the same brand as bought. However, ones sent shed much more than usual. Lady I spoke to was quite dismisisve simply saying “they do shed and glitter does go everywhere - we cannot send you a free returns label.” Definitely a place to avoid buying from as previous reviewer commented. This is a quibble customer service that does not appease the customer or wish to atract repeat custom.

one to avoid!

One of the worse online ordering experiences I've had in a long time. Much like the previous reviewer - customer service was v poor. Interestingly my feedback has been omitted from their website... The ordering and delivery were great as per other customer comments but when it came to returning the goods my experience was wholly awful! One of the items I received looked nothing like the advertising photo online - this wasn't accepted by the customer service representative which I guess was fair enough, however their response was both patronising and abrupt. I returned all my purchases as I really didn't want to buy anything from them - only to be told not all the items were in the parcel...they absolutely were so I called to check and with utmost respect & politeness - however such an approach was not reciprocated whatsoever 'I've just told you I've refunded you' etc... When you can buy the same products for similar prices at more reputable stores I would most definitely avoid this one!

Not an experience I would recommend.

I ordered a personalised print. The web page had an example of the print, a box for the name or family name and an " add to cart" button. When the print arrived it was incorrect. I emailed and asked for a print with the right text. I was told by phone I had failed to follow the instructions correctly so I would not have a replacement. I pointed out that I had followed the two steps on the webpage and the second set of instructions they referred to were on a following page, after a series of advertisement for other products, so they were not visible before I clicked to buy. The company emailed me to show me the additional instructions on the website but that clearly proved they were on a second page and not visible when the "add to cart" button was clicked. Despite that I had a call to say I would not get a replacement or refund. I emailed and said I would complain to Trading Standards. The threat of a complaint produced a phone message to say they would fill the order correctly at a discount but it was not clear what I had to do. I emailed and asked the customer services manager to explain in writing. Despite a second email I have not heard anymore so I have no choice but to make a formal complaint through the Online Dispute Procedure. I found the staff unwilling to listen to me, they simply repeated their story and the tone was very condescending. It was interesting that as soon as I mentioned a complaint to Trading Standards the tone changed, the Customer Service Manager was on the phone and some sort of offer was being made. I ordered three Dunoon mugs, which arrived on time and well packaged.

Terrific gift ideas for everyone

I love purchasing from Temptation Gifts as the choice is varied, prices quite reasonable, extremely fast delivery and with polite, courteous customer service (in case of problems). My main purchases have been for Yankee Candles as due to their reductions it makes them the cheapest I've found. I'm also a huge YC addict and have been for over 20 years. I also love their LED Jars and have 4 different shades because they're battery operated so can be placed where there is no power point, different and bright. I've also bought them as gifts. My only criticism is that the minimum order value of £49.99, in order to get free delivery, is excessive and should be lowered.
