Picked up my VW Transporter 6.1 last week from Summit Vans after finding it on Autotrader, may I say it was a great overall experience from test drive to the day of collection, the van was immaculate inside and out and prepared to a very high standard, also Pete who dealt with me was a great bloke, very friendly and helpful, made it a breeze from start to finish, would certainly recommend Summit Vans and would not hesitate going back to them in the future.

I initially enquired on a Thursday night about a vehicle I had seen advertised on Autotrader through this company. I received a reply on the Friday morning to say that the car had a deposit taken on it just an hour previously and that if there were any changes or the sale fell through that I would be made aware. On the Friday night at 7pm I received an email from the salesman which read 'Looks like the funding on this one isn’t going to go ahead. How can I help?' I took this to be that the sale had fell through. I was then given a finance quotation which was sent to me at lunchtime on the Saturday. Fast forward to the Monday I had no reply so we phoned Summit to be told that this vehicle was actually still reserved by the same family that had reserved it on the Friday despite getting an email on the Friday to say that it 'looked' like it wasn't going ahead. We were then told at 2pm on Monday that the family failed to obtain finance 2-3 times already and that they were giving them another chance to source their own, bearing in mind we had finance in place, approved and ready to go. They then contacted us again two hours later and said the family had sourced their own finance and the car was gone. So, basically we feel the communication was terrible as we should never have been told that it looked like it wasn't going ahead, or given a finance quotation putting us in the belief that the car was essentially ours for the taking. We have emailed two managers and haven't received a reply and it's been over a week and a half. This companies reviews and the condition of the vehicle advertised is what drew us to them but the service and communication we have received has been nothing short of awful which is a shame as we are particularly fussy with vehicles and the companies we choose to buy from.

Couldn’t be happier with my new pickup and the service received from Summit Vans. The whole process was very efficient and easy. Shout out to Ed who was great from start to finish and had me in a new Ford Ranger within a couple of weeks of my initial enquiry. Highly recommend Summit Vans to anyone in the market for a commercial vehicle.
