Booked the "coach" to malahide castle for a concert. It was a regular double decker bus filthy with the dirt. For €18 return I expected something more than a public bus but anyway, dropped us at the side of the road outside the venue and still had a 15 minute walk so no different to taking a public bus for a fraction of the price. The word coach is misleading as coaches are allowed into the actual grounds of the venue but this particular bus wasn't. On our return there was no signpost until the last minute when we had already asked about ten stewards where the bus collection point was which again was well outside the ground and not in the designated coach and bus area based so conveniently inside the ground which was implied was the service we had paid when booking,yes the bus was on there outside the venue and it did save us probably spending ages waiting on public transport back into the city but had it been a proper coach it would have saved so much walking unnecessarily as it could have parked in the grounds. Didn't see what we got for our money as €18 each was crazy money for a dirty glorified public bus that dropped and collected no closer than public transport.rip off

Brilliant parking provided at events!

Getting into the car park was fine... getting out was a whole other story. Took us an hour and half to get out of the car park. Zero organisation or clear direction for exiting...cars just all over the place. An absolute joke. Will avoid in future for sure and have advised friends attending concert tonight to AVOID carpark at all costs

The parking at the show last night was disastrous. Long queues getting in - ok, will accept that. However the exiting was absolutely ridiculous. It was a free for all. No organisation, no guidance, limited number of stewards. We were extremely lucky to exit the car park by Midnight. As for those further down the bottom of the parking - I see reports of 1hr 45 mins after the show and they hadn't moved. I would not have been surprised to see arguments nor damage to vehicles trying to get out of there last night. Simply not good enough and spoiled an otherwise excellent evening. I sincerely hope you address this for the benefit of those attending the rest of the week.

The parking tickets they offer are a scam. Marathon coaches seem to be spreading info that you must pay to park for malahide castle gigs so I pre-ordered a ticket only to realise parking was free. No event staff seemed to know what my ticket was for. Don't bother with these scam artists.. Update- I believe Marathons reply below is misleading. I gather they were understaffed on the night of the killers concert and got completely overwhelmed before ceasing to charge cars leading to a free for all on the way in and out of the venue. The blame still lies with them.

20 minute drop off took an hour because the driver took 3 wrong turns. collection point at the opposite end of the park where they drop you off . no direction to where the collection is. women on emergency line is so rude no help. be quicker and the same price to get a taxi.

I paid EUR 16 to park at the Malahide Castle venue for a concert. On arrival, there was no particular area for prepaid parking, there was just a single parking area. No one checked that we had paid and the majority of people seemed not to have. The stewards were very unhelpful. Conclusion - don't bother paying for parking in Malahide Castle. Update - I disagree with the response below. The stewards did not check (with any cars) whether parking had been paid for and when I asked, they did not know what the access information I had received from Marathon was meant to be for.

The bus service was great. Went on time and great to have it to bring us to Palmerstown House from Dublin City.
