Regal Fish have a good system. Their van comes to your area about once every two months, and delivery is free. They let you know a couple of weeks before each delivery, and you can order by phone or online. They have a good selection of fresh fish and seafood, and they tell you where it comes from, whether it's farmed and so on. They also do meals like fish pie and cod wellingtons. If you have a good local fishmonger you probably don't need it but most of us don't so it's useful. The only downside is that if you don't place an order, you get a lot of phone calls in the run-up to the delivery day (see the negative reviews), but you can just ignore them.

I never buy from a knock on the door, only this time I did! More expensive than Aldi, but less than Waitrose, for the best fish direct to your door. Regal have this so right, really efficient and modern in approach.

Not what it used to be. Portions are massively reduced in size and as a result are verging on daylight robbery. Won’t be using again. Had a response to my review- absolute nonsense. Checked previous orders and as an example Halibut £17 for 500g now £15.75 for 300g. An increase of 55%. Another supplier jumping on the inflation bandwagon and raising prices way above what they should be.
