I am delighted with my conservatory

I am delighted with my conservatory. Everybody concerned was helpful, polite and efficient. I had excellent advice on choosing a design in keeping with my house and garden. All details were checked and the work was well coordinated and efficiently completed. I am very happy with the finished result and quality of the conservatory. The after sales service is excellent as is communication from the company. They are helpful and pro-active. I would definitely recommend West Yorkshire Windows.

Surpassed expectations // great value

Surpassed expectations // great value I chose to go with West Yorkshire Windows after approaching 3 companies before them for a conservatory/orangery. Out of all quotes they provided the best design input, timescales, price and were the easiest to get hold of for any questions. They provided detailed plans and timescales following sign off and, although there was some slippage on the plan, it was still finished to deadline. The whole process was managed so well by them - I had visions of 'chasing' people over the phone but I found the company to be more pro-active than me at times for booking in work and being on top of everything! I can't speak more highly of WYW because nothing was a problem and the end product surpassed my expectations. All visitors to my house comment on the quality of the work and how it doesn't look like a typical conservatory. Totally joined up project from start to finish and everyone involved from West Yorkshire Windows was polite, honest, trustworthy and professional. Not what I expected and would definitely recommend.

Beware!

Beware! Where do I start with this set of cowboys? We had a 8x4 extention put on the back of our house last year and paid every penny straight away when asked. When the brick work was finished the side wall was about as straight as a snake with cramp. I put a string line down and measured over its 4 metre length and it went in approximately -12mm. According to British standards BS8000-3 workmanship on building sites allows a deviance of 10mm. When this was pointed out to WYWs they said it was fine and refused to rectify it. I tried to report this to building control but was told it was under a private company called "Assist building control" which is used and paid by WYWs! so I didn't even have that protection. When it was finished a friend of mine asked if they had put a concrete base down under the entire floor area. They hadn't. It was just mud. This is a legal requirement so after multiple arguments they finally agreed to do it. The builders turned up and much to my amazement had been instructed by the project manager, lets call him 'Peter', to fill it through an air brick! That's over 1.5 cubic metres of concrete through an air brick and somehow spread evenly over an 8m x 4m floor. Obviously this was not going to happen. More arguments and Peter agreed that the entire floor was to be removed and told me this would take 3 days. This room at this point was carpeted, Decorated and fully furnished. I had to remove the new carpet, dining table and settee and store it all in my living room with no help from WYWs. This went on for nearly 3 weeks NOT 3 days with me having to email Peter every day explaining all the incompetent actions of him and his team not to mention having to deal with the attitude of his main builder, 'let's call him Neil' who didn't even know how to set up thier OWN windows and argued with me and my wife very abruptly. Totally unapproachable. It was a joke. They didn't realise they had to remove the skirting boards, radiator etc. In the end I had to do things for them like removing and refitting the radiator just to keep things moving as thier contractor turned up on the wrong days. I also had to take time off work and If you could see the emails you wouldn't believe Peters incompetence. They damaged the walls and I had to repair them and repaint them as they wouldn't rectify the damages. Eventually they had finished and I cleared up after them and we finally got back to normal without a thank you or an apology or any compensation of any gesture and of course we still have the out of tolerance BENT WALL. If you're thinking of using this company take this as a warning and look at my photos on Google maps review. If you read the other reviews and people take note it may get them to reflect and change thier ways but I doubt it so I can see this company going bust and if that happens then don't loose your hard earned cash. These earn in every way the name "Cowboy builder's" As for your reply below- £11 compensation for some paint! What a joke and I had to press 3 weeks to get it just to make a point. I have never been satisfied with the work as proof in all the emails. You have still left me with a out of tolerance wall of which I have quotes of over a £1000 to rectify it so do to right thing and sort it. Until then all your potential customers deserve to know how you operate. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through all the stress and upset that your company has caused me and my family. Feel free to contact me directly if you are willing to rectify this as your staff would not give me the owners details leaving me no choice.

Excellent 5 Star Company

Excellent company - we have absolutely no reservations and would definitely recommend this company to anyone. The whole project involved a number of different stages from the initial visit by Eric who patiently and good-humouredly spent time with us going through all the possible options and specifications including producing plans and detailed costings for each so that we could make comparisons. This allowed us to have exactly what we wanted and to know that it was within our budget. This was followed by a survey and test dig, base work, electrics, plastering and finishing. We received a detailed schedule of when each team was due to arrive, complete with their names and how long in terms of number of days or hours they would need to complete their section. The whole team were very professional, arriving on time, working efficiently and clearing up at the end of each day. All the materials arrived when expected so there were no delays in getting on with the work. Rachel in the Doncaster branch was our point of contact and was always ready to answer any questions we might have. She also went the extra mile in helping us to source the particular conservatory furniture we had in mind. The final result is truly amazing and we are really delighted with our brand new conservatory. Cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Fab kitchen extension!

West Yorkshire Windows built our kitchen extension and we're absolutely delighted with it. Really friendly team, and all building work was completed within 6 weeks, much quicker than we were expecting. Quality of workmanship has been excellent - one or two minor issues internally but were sorted very quickly. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend.

Would not hesitate to recommend...

We would not hesitate to recommend this company. Their windows have an A++ rating. They offered the most competitive quote of the three quotes we obtained before committing to any work. The staff were consistently polite and professional. The fitters have done an absolutely excellent job. We had some inconvenience due to a piece of glass not being delivered. This meant completion of our works was delayed, as fitters had to return and communication on this was not ideal, for which we were compensated. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with the service we have received and we would like to say thank you to all of the staff at West Yorkshire Windows.

I had a lovely conservatory fired at the beginning of the year. The team at West Yorkshire windows couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely reuse this company again when we need new doors . Once again well done and thank you
