These people were there for me when I had no where else to turn following redundancy and divorce. I had a baby and couldn't afford my mortgage. I was paying bills on credit cards and didn't dare open my mail. They supported me practically and emotionally at one of the worst times of my life. They got the people I owed off my back until I could sell my house and sort out repayment. I really aren't sure what I would have done without them and will be forever grateful to them.

Thanks to Christians against poverty I am now Debt free. They do not judge , they are there to help all how need help. I felt ashamed of the amount of debt I was in , but they are very understanding and helped me through it. It doesn't matter how much debt your in if you are struggling, they will help. They Care.

My faith had lapsed after the break up of my relationship. Originally I was worried approaching CAP as I didn't consider myself a true Christian. However, like most faith centres, I was warmly welcomed, put at ease and given the time to explain just what my financial problems were. I had help and support throughout my journey with CAP. After each session we would hold hands and pray. It felt like coming home. I was amazed by the relief I felt but also the new calm I felt I attributed to CAP employees and volunteers. I became debt free through Christians against Poverty. Jackie Adie was very supportive and helpful, I was in a total mess financially, had bailiffs at my door and it was very distressing for me. It felt like it sort one bill, then another 10 came flying at me, it was all too much. CAP took away all the pressures and spoke to al my creditors and arranged lower payment arrangements.
