First met Lee Valley on FaceBook, but liked the look of the product, so went online. Very easy to choose items and prices good, so gave it a go. looking ofrward to delivery.

Very unhappy with the blackthorn walking stick…it is nothing like the picture I ordered from. It’s covered in some sort of black plasticky substance and no directions if that is to be removed. The copper tip is discoloured. I rang and left a message about this last week upon receipt but have received no call back.

I first bought a Lee Valley man’s shirt in Dingle. It was handsome, very well-tailored, and made of heavy-gauge cotton, which resisted wrinkling and stayed looking fresh over a couple of wearings, before re-washing. It was collarless—styled in a way that is out of the American norm—and wore well over time. Since then, I have purchased additional Lee shirts in Ireland and also ordered them shipped to the U.S. Believe I have mostly bought “grandad” style and they are excellent. It would be great from my perspective if Lee made more shirts in a darker palette—brown, heather, black, dark blue.
