Don't use your own doctor.
Was able to book an evening medical within two days. The process was easy and the doctor was friendly. Had to travel some distance but it was much cheaper than my own doctor who could not give me an appointment for two weeks with no choice of date and time meaning I would have had to take a day off. There are several of this type of company, but I recommend this one.
