I am having trouble activating my card.

Reported to the credit bureau that my balance increased from one month to the next . Never missed or was late on payments. I made two payments in one month October 1st and October 31st(Payment for November) and somehow my balance goes up. Since I didn’t make a payment in “November” ??? I’m confused as to how that happened
