We couldn't be happier with Bea's incredible progress under the guidance of Jimmy Bennington at Guitar Center (2633 N. Halsted St - Central Chicago Store)! Thanks to Jimmy's expertise, patience, and encouragement, Bea recently completed her third recital and, for the first time, performed an entire song on drums--an unforgettable milestone! The crowd absolutely loved her performance, and what made the moment even more special was Jimmy stopping by our seats afterward to personally praise Bea. He shared such kind, motivational, and heartfelt words--a true testament to his passion for teaching and his dedication to every student. As a parent, seeing that level of support and enthusiasm from a teacher is truly heartwarming. Jimmy doesn't just teach drums; he inspires confidence and excitement in his students, making every live performance a moment to cherish. We are beyond grateful and highly recommend Jimmy to anyone looking for an exceptional drum instructor!

One of the worst retail experiences I've ever had

Went to Guitar Center at 8601 Sheridan Boulevard G, Westminster, CO 80003. This was, honestly, one of the worst retail experience I've ever had. 7 employees that I visually spotted; the only two actively helpful ones were monopolized by customers already (don't blame the customers; a helpful employee is where you gravitate toward) and the others actually visually dodged me/immediately pretended to be doing something else to avoid helping me; it was uncanny. All I needed was some electric guitar hardware for an input socket repair, the hardware wall was nearly bare, and as I approached other available employees for help, they all scattered as fast as they possibly could. I'm pretty sure I showered yesterday, so not sure what the fear of helping a customer was, but there you have it. Thankfully a music shop about 2 miles away from GC helped me out with everything I needed, didn't charge me for the parts (!!!???) and so I ended up buying more than what I intended to get that day (guitar pedal and a hard case) as just a sign of appreciation for helping me out of a serious jam. GC, please do better than this. But please know that I won't be visiting you guys a for a looooooooong time.

Excellent ordering process

Austin answered promptly, answered our questions without hesitation. Offered to assist us in placing our order. Informed us of the ship and deliver days. Wanted to assist in finding anything else we needed with our new purchase. Talk with us about the additional coverage that comes with the warranty besides the manufacturer warranty. Even talked with us a bit about our purchase. We love doing business locally. Couldn't be happier with the ordering process.

We visited the Totowa

We visited the Totowa, NJ Store today and was fortunate enough to have Donny help us. We were interested in trying out the ZildjianCustom A cymbal set. There Was not a complete set of the cymbals on display and Donny quickly put a complete set on a drum kit for us to try them out. They sounded great and we are purchasing the set. Thank you Donny.

My last guitar center purchase

Bought ahead drumsticks that broke within the return period. Tried to exchange in store and was told they were non exchangeable because they are drumsticks even though 1) these are not wood drumsticks that are expected to break. These are designed to be long lasting with replaceable parts. 2) The return policy on the website says nothing about drumsticks at all.

Great Customer Service

I was confused and unsure about my purchase. When I called, I spoke to Howard and he was very helpful. He reassured me. It was OK to place the order that I didn’t have to try it on my own. I’m not very tech savvy and I felt so much better. I can say honestly he made the process seamless and I felt very confident after my purchase.

Outstanding Customer Service & Support

Sean and team are outstanding. I had a few questions on a guitar before placing an online order, and they took a lot of time out of a busy Saturday afternoon to answer all of my questions and send additional pictures and details. They were all very helpful via email and on the phone and were wonderful to deal with. I look forward to my next purchase with their team.
