Extremely poor packaging, and no details
I got a Gibson les Paul. There was zero information and minimal picture but it looked ok so I pulled the trigger. Could I have called the store before I bought it asked some questions, yes that’s on me. I don’t know why it’s so hard for guitar center to take just a couple more minutes of time to take more detailed pictures and weather or not it has a case….most of the time on the used gear you don’t not get that info. 2nd the guitar arrived falling out of the shipping box from the ups truck. I have received many many guitars from fedex, ups, usps. I have never had such a poorly packed guitar the ups guy really didn’t want me to accept it. How it didn’t break in half like Gibsons do I’ll never know…. Any ways guitar seems fine and I got lucky. I should have to feel like I got lucky when you spend a lot of money. Come on guys…

Bait and switch.
First off the guitar we order wasn’t the guitar that was pictured on your web site. So we got a rusted and damaged guitar. The sales rep offered to refund my shipping which I paid for to be over nighted and I refused to accept that. They ordered another guitar for me instead. I had to pay a difference for the other one. I asked for the to be overnighted and it wasn’t. Still haven’t received my order. I am a very disappointed and annoyed customer. I will be relaying my feelings to everyone I know to shop somewhere else.
Saturn Johnson is an Out of this World Gear Advisor!
I initially worked with Saturn Johnson. I sent her a note to let her know I felt she was an out of this world gear advisor. She was very informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. She really took the time to listen to me and gave me great options to pick from (some I had not even found on my own). I would have given 5 stars for the overall experience; however, there were some challenges with the checkout process that were even present well into the next day. Saturn Johnson worked with me tirelessly to try to help get me through the issues so I could break up my payments, but the site just would not cooperate. I tried a bit more, but the purchase just would not go through using the quote links and the website. I would click to add the custom quote to my cart and either two or three items would remove from my cart before I could make a payment. I became impatient myself. Rather than wait any longer, I called direct to the gear advisor number. Saturn was not available and was likely offering her top tier service excellence to another customer. I ended up getting back to gear advisor Ben. He found my order and quote details quickly. Rather than being able to leverage the pay in 4 PayPal option, I ended up just paying outright. Not a big deal, but I was glad that Ben could help finalize the payment over the phone and get my guitar on order. Thank you Guitar Center for have great people at the other end of the line.
