I purchased the cardan protector for a 1250 rs and the assembly looked simple enough with 3 pictures on the manual and no text or indications. Upon mounting the protector the rubber didn't seal completely and I saw that the expanding screw was struck and could not make te protector to fit completely. Now the protector is not sealing the area and it cannot be disassembled, the solution from Wunderlich is to remove the rear wheel, as if it was simple on an R model, but hey, they offer a new protector if any pieces from it are damaged. This resolves nothing as the instructions do not point anything. Saw some videos before installing it and I did it the same way, it is either a bad desing or a poorly described manual.
