Thank You ZeroGravity

I was a bit nervous going into ZeroGravity at first as I was not too sure if it was for me and as a result I missed out the first few months. However after being matched to my mentor I learned top tips from someone who had experienced similar/same subjects during 6th form. This was useful during revision time and being able to work together in order to find methods that would produce successful outcomes. I am grateful to my mentor and to ZeroGravity for pushing me and helping me to succeed during my 6th form period ! :)

Zero Gravity, one of the best platforms which aid sixth form students

Zero Gravity has been a transformative resource in my journey to apply for university and craft a compelling personal statement. The platform's intuitive interface and wealth of resources provided me with comprehensive guidance on navigating the often daunting application process, especially as I am the first generation from my family to attend university. With expert advice tailored to my specific needs, Zero Gravity and my amazing mentor helped me articulate my experiences and aspirations in a way that truly reflects my individuality. The personal statement workshops and one-on-one mentorship sessions were particularly invaluable, offering me insights into the nuances of creating a narrative that stands out. As a result, I feel confident and well-prepared to present myself as a strong candidate to my chosen universities.

Thank you to ZG!

I chose Linguistics (which is a niche degree that none of my teachers knew anything about), so Zero Gravity really helped in matching me up with my mentor, Caila, who gave me specialised advice on admissions and success in my A-Levels. However, Caila actually did FRENCH at Cambridge, not Linguistics! She did have a lot of insight into the constitution of the French language, but was also the reason why I reconsidered and decided to apply to for French & Linguistics instead; as she always gave me interesting French texts to read following our discussions (like Le Deuxième Sexe, which I used in my personal statement and interviews). She went through MLAT papers with me, and some corrections made were really useful during the real assessment. I'm eternally grateful to Caila for giving me resources, helping me perform well during the admissions process and get an offer.

ZeroGravity is genuinely an amazing platform!!!

When I started,I was two weeks away from my October deadline.I had a couple of lines for a personal statement and not much idea on the medicine application.I had just completed my UCAT,and gotten below average ,my confidence was shattered. It didn’t help that none of my teacher were supportive nor did they offer any help or advice on what to do.The common consensus was to apply to something more “realistic”.Days away from the deadline,Sanjida helped me to finish my personal statement and submit my application, although I never got in the first time. She gave me the confidence to try again and believe in myself ,I reapplied and I got 3 unconditional offers ,I know that my mentor is my biggest reason why.I start med school in September and I genuinely cannot thank Sanjida enough for all the support.

My mentor

My mentor, Tafdil M., has helped me so much over the past year and a half. He helped me with my personal statement, ELAT mocks, mock interviews, my school mocks and discussions about books we both enjoy. I don’t know how I would have applied to university without him. I’m so grateful to have been matched with him, because as well as a mentor, I’ve been given a friend.

Zero Gravity has been life changing!

I am fascinated by cultures, languages, cheese, people and business which is why I will be studying International Business with French in a double degree with NTU and KEDGE in Marseille. Zero Gravity has been such a huge aid in my decision making, but specifically because my mentor, Vladislava, has been like the older sister I always needed. I am the first in my family to go to university as a child of immigrants and Vladislava helped me sort out through all my worries and thoughts in terms of my education and career. I always knew I wanted to do my degree abroad but I wasn't sure it was a possibility. Vladislava however went above and beyond to initially help me look at German universities, but after discussing finances and finding the NTU course, we concluded that splitting my degree between the UK and France was the best option. Being part of the Zero Gravity community has given me more hope than ever that I can reach my career goals.

Made to feel like I truly have Zero Gravity

I have been consider Oxbridge for a very long time, and had so many questions about applying which my mentor was able to help me with. Looking back, thanks to Tiephaine I have grown a lot as a person: both in terms of maturity, character and passion for my subject. What once was a long bullet point list of possible things to include in my personal statement turned into 12 drafts, which my mentor helped me meticulously polish until we reached the final product. Similarly, even though we have only been working since the start of year 13/end of summer, meeting with her multiple times has really helped build my confidence and ability to speak out loud. I am very grateful for her help- sometimes we would meet multiple times a week and even on the day of my ELAT and interview day, we would call so that I stayed confident and calm. Although my school offered some support, my mentor’s support was indispensable and what helped me reach my full potential. One of the my most heartfelt moments with Tiephaine was telling her about a teacher who told me to change my whole personal statement, and to not apply to Oxbridge as that would be a form of delusion. However, being on call with her truly made me feel like I had “zero gravity”- she was able to turn my teacher’s soul breaking comment into an ability to believe in myself and her unconditional support was genuinely amazing. Her support most definitely bared fruitful as I have obtained offers from all the five universities I applied to and have become a much more confident person too. Honestly, I have really enjoyed being part of the Zero Gravity community. It has been very insightful to attend masterclasses aimed at bridging the gaps between social classes. Yet equally, the community has been amazing as it had allowed me to speak to likeminded individuals like myself- I especially enjoyed being able to hear people’s book recommendations. I am keen to become a mentor, like Tiephaine, who helps disadvantaged individuals achieve their true potential and dreams.

Zero Gravity helped me more than my school’s advisors!

I discovered Zero Gravity while searching for support with my UCAS application and personal statement. Coming from a disadvantaged background and as a first-generation immigrant unfamiliar with the British education system, I was privileged to receive a mentor who guided me through every step. My mentor’s support was invaluable in preparing for the LNAT and helping me with my university choices. This guidance was crucial in helping me decide which universities to apply for. I am beyond grateful for my mentor’s assistance and the free online sessions provided by Zero Gravity. My mentor helped me create suitable timetables, balancing LNAT preparation, school work, and further reading for my personal statement. Beyond academic support, my mentor’s encouragement was vital in moments of self-doubt. As an Oxbridge aspiring student, Zero Gravity’s online sessions offered a firsthand insight into university life, particularly at Oxbridge, enriching my understanding and confidence in my educational journey.

Zero Gravity, Infinite Potential

Hi! I'm Romeo, an aspiring lawyer. Under the tutelage of my kind, knowledgeable, and proactive mentor - Farah, I received an offer from Cambridge University for the Foundation Year in Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences, as well as offers from all of my other choices for Law, such as UCL, Bristol, Nottingham, & Warwick. Zero Gravity has helped uplift my success through providing me with a friendly community to engage with, and various resources and masterclasses that I personally utilised to great success, with the Cambridge Personal Statement video helping me receive an offer from them. My mentor Farah supported me throughout this process by guiding me, giving me her old resources, giving me life and education advice for University, and providing me with valuable, kind support when I deliberated on what Universities to apply for, as well as advice on how to absolutely smash the LNAT (Which I scored 32 on :) I highly recommend Zero Gravity, it can literally elevate your future! My overall experience with Zero Gravity

My experience with Zero gravity has been fantastic. I have engaged a lot with the portal many of the opportunities, work experience and supercurricular, books ,podcasts have come from zero gravity and have been so beneficial for helping me with my personal statement and with my awareness of law and whey i would like to do it at university. The masterclasses have been fantastic, i joined one about finances, tax and how to manage money, as well as masterclasses delivered by students from the universities I was interested in which helped me make a decision. I joined the personal statement programme for summer and august and it really helped me make a great personal statement. My mentor has been amazing. She told me all the ins and outs about student finance, types of loans, living in halls vs living at home, considering whether i want to go to a campus uni or a city uni, researching universities for me and telling me the rankings and pros and cons of each, giving me advice about English literature a level, law websites for supercurricular and things to do at university to widen my chances of getting an internship in my first year, preparation for the LNAT, LNAT tips and giving me example questions and she even read my personal statement and gave my tips to improve. SO i am very happy with my experience with Zero gravity
