This is not a good company to work with poor customer service and excessive fees overbilling
This is not a good company to work with at all. They seem to have all types a little scams to make you pay more. They will make it very difficult for you to keep up with your payments and keep TU on if you ever get behind. If they make a mistake with your payment you will not be given time to clear up any issues they will disconnect so they can double charge you fee. And their system will post duplicate payments to your account if you are not careful.

I had been a loyal customer for several years with Just Energy, and they have been absolutely awful since 2021. But it makes sense when you find out they are going bankrupt. They shut off our electric without any notice, claiming I didn't make a payment, even though I had made a payment. They screwed us over when we moved and left the electric on for a month and then billed us for it. NOW I cannot get my final bill generated because "their system is down". Can't get any help on the phone because "their system is down". Funny how their system "went down" after we called them out on their mess. Funny how we can't get any help after they tried to give us the run around and we got hung up on while waiting to be transferred.

I was told while I was shopping in Sam's Warehouse by a Just Energy salesperson to switch provider and can cancel anytime. It took them more than three days to set up my account. I just found out that there is a cancellation fee of $175 when I created my account login. I was also told I will get a $45 Sam's credit. I should have known not to listen to anybody in public places where you won't be able to scrutinized a deal

If I could give this scam company 0 stars I would they blatantly lied about me paying my bill sent it to collections I paid it again and they still filed it through the credit beureau needless to say I'll be filing a fraud and false statement against them and possibly sue them
An Extremely Disappointing Experience

However, they have not lived up to their promises. Without any prior notification or explanation, my energy prices were tripled. This sudden and significant increase in cost has caused considerable strain on my budget. It is disheartening to see a company take advantage of its customers in such a manner. The lack of transparency and communication is concerning. Customers should be informed about any changes in pricing and the reasons behind them. This is not just a matter of good business practice, but also of basic respect and fairness. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this energy company due to their misleading pricing practices and lack of transparency. It is important to me to do business with companies that value honesty and customer service, and unfortunately, my experience with this company has been lacking in these areas.
Unstable Salesman
Salesman ran up on me and my husband as we were bringing groceries into the house, and my husband told him no thank you. Dude proceeded to yell "Don't close the door!" as we did, because we told him no already. Proceeds to knock on our door after we shut it. We tell him to go away, not interested through the door. He knocks again, ignore it. Knocks again, husband knocks back hoping he'll get the hint. He knocks again, I yell at him to ** off through the door because why the hell is he still there? He's reading as crazy/dangerous at this point. He knocks AGAIN and my husband has to finally open the door and yell at him before he finally leaves us alone. Except now I'm getting text messages from this ** Tarrick saying he talked to my roommate (she also told him to leave us alone) and asking me when the best time to speak is. Why the ** does this unstable man have my phone number???????

keep calling for renewal every day!!!
When approaching contract ends in 3 months, Just Energy started to call me every day asking for a renewal. Even I said it is too early to discuss it but they just keep going! These calls were from different numbers so I cannot block them effectively. Stay away from this company. Very annoying!!

Horrible customer service! When you are lucky enough to get through the automated advisor and reach the department you were trying to reach, you will have the pleasure to talk to someone who does not want to talk to you. Save your time and nerves, choose any other provider. Run! Reply to your reply: It's funny you are providing the same useless phone number. This number is located on my Just Energy Bill (Canada) but when calling this number, you get to choose to be connected to 1. CenterPoint, 2. AEP 3. Oncore 4. Texas. No matter what step I chose, I never got through to talk to someone from Just Energy in Canada. Every person I talked to, transferred me back to the same menu. Call this number yourself and try to reach someone who can help you with your Canadian Just Energy Account and Good Luck!

My bill constantly goes up when I live alone. I didn't change anything or have any additional people over. In fact, I've been out of town half of the month. They promised this great plan of free nights but how..... My bill constantly increases.
