Tasty but low value for money

It’s tasty but incredibly low value for money. I ordered the lamb ragù with whole grain pasta. There was literally only 1 table spoon of regù in there and the rest just plain pasta. The 1 spoon of Ragù was tasty for the price it is, I expected more. £18 for basically plain pasta (which costs nothing to make) and 1 spoon full ragù. It’s just pasta, no protein.

Ordered through Uber One a lasagne

Ordered through Uber One a lasagne. Delivered on time and looked good in the packaging but the lasagne was burned on the top and soggy inside. The meat was tough abd gristly. I couldn't eat it disgusting! Contacted the place and still waiting for a reply. I actual feel sick so might send it off to food lab to check if ok apart from burned on top and undercooked inside.

Take away is not an option where we live, but I thoroughly recommend the recipe kits and I have found the customer service second to none

Pasta person?

I love a Pasta Evangelists delivery. Great pasta recipes (including sides and desserts) that are so quick and easy to prepare.

Got £30 worth of pasta and the quality was so bad. It had to go in the bin. Communicated with customer service and they gave me a £10 voucher as a 'gesture of goodwill' rather than just give me my money back. Not motivated to use a voucher, considering the quality of food I got

Need for Greed

I've been a Pasta Evangelists customer since 2019, shortly after it started getting sold at Harrods. Back then, it was a delight. High quality ingredients and well thought-out recipes. I would buy it regularly whilst shopping at the food hall and when I moved out of the area slightly further West, I started to order via Deliveroo and then via subscription on their website. Since then, I have been on and off as a customer as I no longer live in London, but it seems to me like every time I 'resume' my subscription, the quality becomes noticably worse, and the prices become noticably higher... Their market used to be targeted at connoisseurs and people who really understand good food, which is likely the reason they got into Harrods in the first place. It is not clear to me how they have remained in Harrods, and my guess is that there is no quality control in place for long term partners. In any event, I will be writing to them shortly to check. Today, however, Pasta Evangelists' target market is to the masses, where expectations and quality is not so much a concern. They did this because they became greedy. This is clear because they have swapped out quality ingredients for below average replacements whilst simultaneously INCREASING the prices... which would do nothing but increase the profit margin. I will give you an example... in the beginning, they used real, good-quality pancetta from Italy for the carbonara, and a fantastic Italian parmasan cheese. Today, they appear to be using cheap lardons in place of the pancetta, and the parmesan tastes like it may have been harvested from deceased and rotting rodents. I am done being ripped off, but if you want to throw away your money, you go for it. Just know that you can easily do it better on your own, and you could probably buy the ingredients for less money at your local supermarket. This company is a joke, and I'm outraged at being ripped off.

Missing item

The company's policy of refunding payment of missing items delivered is insulting. I was expecting to get 2 profiteroles , but only got one. Instead of getting a driver to deliver the other one, I was told that my only option is to get a refund which will take 7 working days to reach my account. Over the last fortnight I've ordered at least 4 times. The food is hit and miss: the first order was great, then the other orders just got worse. I'm happy that they're helping me to save money as I won't be ordering from pasta evangelists ever again. Erika
