DONT touch this company for pre-pay cards

A few months ago I ordered an ACE FX prepay card to load up with currency before going on holiday. (It's a really good way to avoid charges when overseas.) When the card arrived it had an expiry date of June 2017 which queried at the time. I was told 'don't worry we will send a new card out nearer the time you travel'. We put all our spending money on the card (over £3000). As the holiday got closer we still hadn't received a replacement card so I called to find out what was wrong. It was then we were told that the cards are being discontinued, there would be no replacement. The only options were a) apply for another card with a different company (Money Corp - which we didn't want) and hope the funds can be transferred before the holiday - OR b) apply for a refund. They said a refund would take 5 WEEKS!!! because of the huge demand from people trying to get their money back. We had no option but withdraw our money using the card here in the UK over several days incurring hundreds of pounds in charges! Finally when we had just £1500 left on the card and ran out of time to get our money they said we could get a refund in 10 days. So we're still waiting... To add insult to injury they actually charged me for a replacement card (that I didn't receive!!!!) The service is absolutely appalling. Don't touch ACE-FX (or Money Corp that seems to be buying them out!!) As an update, immediately after the response on Trust Pilot to the contrary, I received this email from Ace-FX: Further to your recent enquiry; the refund process has actually been processed from 4 weeks or 20 working days to 10 working days. Unfortunately we cannot force this payment through any faster due to the high volumes of refund request. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay and thank you for your patience.... So clearly the Trust Pilot team don't know what the refunds team are saying. The reality is that if you do need a refund don't expect in time for your holiday. I shall be complaining to the Financial Ombudsman. Don't touch this company for Pre-pay cards...

Rate of exchange was much better than …

Rate of exchange was much better than anyone else around. Delivery was really quick and had no problems at all. Used before hence the decision to use again. Would recommend to anyone who needs currency quickly and at a great rate too. Well Done ACE-FX

Gave good exchange rate BUT…

Gave good exchange rate however I was late getting to the collection point by a few hours and the money I had booked had been sold, no communication and no replacement Bulgarian Leva in stock so had to go to an alternative travel money provider which lost me allot of money.
