I have only just joined the governing body at YMR. However, I have previously been a governor at another primary school for 8 years and was also a member of a temporary governing body in the creation of a new primary school. Whilst I have attended one meeting, I found it to be very professional with an official interpreter (welsh-English). I had a warm welcome from the other governors and the head teacher. I felt included and that my opinion and views were valued. The communications between the school and the governors has been excellent so far and the ethos of the school is one where I feel my son will have the best educational experience that he can.

We started the classes for my son a month ago with teacher Pooja. Pooja is very patient with him and explains as many times as needed and the improvement he has had in the past month is enormous. We are thankful to Pooja and Abacus and we hope to continue as long as needed.

About 4 months ago I decided to enroll my 8-year-old son in an Abacus class. I can say that I made the best decision. Here I met Teacher Octaviana who I can say is top. She has a lot of patience and with a gentle voice explains to the boy everything he doesn't understand. I have seen an extremely large evolution in mathematics in my son. I've had a LinkedIn account for yonks, but it was always sadly underutilised. The most I did was to repost other people's content. My 2 kids attended to the summer course every morning for one week in August 2024. The teachers were really nice, professional and helpful. The ambiance in the school was really pleasant. Both Annabel and Helena are fantastic with the children, they provide my son with so much care and are so enthusiastic about his learning it’s makes him super excited too and captures his interest. They tailor their lessons to suit his needs and help him to reach his goals. He attends on a weekly basis and his only complaint is that he has to leave, he always wants to stay longer :)

My son is 10 years old, he is in a small primary school setting with the majority of kids in his year well above average. He has some sensory and processing difficulties but nothing to warrant additional assistance. Because of where he finds himself, slightly below average, the biggest impact is his low confidence and opinion of himself as a failure. I'm very happy with the tutor and grading system, the feedback for each assignment is always so detailed and there's additional information to learn from and improve skills. I found doing the course remotely a bit isolated as there was no relation with the tutor or other members of the course. I felt the course very completed and gave me the basis to initiate the job as a digital marketeer.

It is definitely possible to learn digital marketing by yourself with free resources. Sometimes your discipline or drive to learn isn't the issue but the non-existing structure or path to learning something is often missing. It often comes with accumulative debt as well. The beginning of anything is always tough but the course made it easier to understand marketing not just on a academic level, but also to be applied in real-life practical situations which is invaluable. I've learned more from this course then I ever have from public education systems and I only find myself growing within the field and practicing the practical side in my spare time.
