Great flavors! Easy to prepare and taste so good! I just wish the price wasn’t as much as it is.

Quick caveat: I ordered a variety of their savory tamales, but this review taste-wise is based solely on the pork tamales that my wife & I had last night. Shipping: They arrived as promised and were in excellent condition. The documentation said that they weren't frozen, but they certainly seemed frozen...they did mention that they were vacuum-sealed, so perhaps that accounts for my initial opinion. I did appreciate the accompanying documentation that spelled out the storage and prep options. I've put half in the freezer for later and kept the other half to enjoy now. As for prep options (steaming or microwave), I decided to try the former. The tamales are smaller, so all six in the package fit in my steamer. I had high hopes as they steamed because the house started smelling deliciously of tamales (my wife, who was upstairs at the time, mentioned later the wonderful aroma that wafted into the room). 15-20 minutes later, we sat down and quickly devoured them. The masa had a great texture and the pork filling was very tasty with just a little heat. I really wanted to steam another package, but calmer heads prevailed. In conclusion, I was very happy with the product and the shipping. I might have liked a bigger tamale, but I realize that that would impact shipping and overall costs. I look forward to trying the other varieties (chicken-tomatillo, beef, and black bean & cheese), and hope that they're just as great as the pork ones.

The Texas Lone Star tamales are A-1 excellent! Perfect texture and delicious taste even after freezing. My shipping ran late so if you need your tamales for an event plan ahead. That said they were well cold packed and arrived in good shape and still refrigerated. They freeze in their own packaging and reheat quickly and very well. I suggest you order twice what you think you’ll need. They are really *that* good.

Delivery was a little slow but all arrived in good condition. UPS kept rescheduling arrival date. Once here, had that night for dinner and as usual, DELICIOUS!

This is the first time we have tried these. We have traveled the country and found some great tamales and these are right up with them!

The tamales are great! Good flavor and stuffed with filling. Smaller in size than most I've found, but definitely made up in flavor. Delivered in a reasonable amount of time, well packaged.
