How shady is UIS? There’s actually a change.org petition asking the Canadian government to shut them down. Before I knew this, however, I contacted them to ask about their services. Like so many other reviewers, I was appalled by the pushiness of the person who took my initial call. He demanded immediate payment of $350 on the spot or my records would be deleted and they would refuse my case. (What records? This was an initial call). When I said I was still researching which company to go with, he demanded to know who else I was talking to. I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that info, and he began to harass me. He also made several offers/promises that, after talking to a more reputable firm, I have learned were implausible and possibly illegal. I’m very glad I did not succumb to UIS’s pressure tactics, especially after reading so many reviews by people who paid thousands of dollars for basically nothing.

I had Lisa Baker as my immigration assistant and I can not recommend her more. She was always quick to respond, awesome at chasing me up and helping me out with anything I didn’t quite understand or know how to do.

Within 5 minutes of the call I was coerced into giving nearly $600. It didn't feel right how pushy it was so I told them the next day I was opting out. I was offered a 30% refund. Then a 50% refund. Eventually I was offered a full refund. After accepting I was told it would take up to 45 days to get the refund of money they got out of me in 5 minutes. It's been nearly 60 days not a cent. Also my junk emails had a sharp rise after talking to them. Coincidence?

My immigration agent was Alice Korn and she was fantastic on helping me get through my application. If I had any questions she would come back with all the answers the following day, really appreciated the help and I'm excited to begin my new journey in canada.

I called to speak about the support they could offer but after a 30-minute call, they were no longer able to help unless I transferred $350 at that moment. I said I would like to do some background checks on the company and instead received pressure to make the payment otherwise the regulations could change any minute. This raised alarm bells and I hung up.

Lisa was quick to respond to any enquiries i had, and had a great understanding of documents and requirements given out.

Alice and the team at UIS were great to deal with and always responded in a timely manor I can’t rate them high enough nor recommend them enough 12/10 service thanks guys!
