I have only used 1st Dibs once and they are dependent on the integrity of their Buyers and Sellers. My purchase with one of their sellers was faultless and I would use 1st Dibs again because I assume they would step in there was a problem.

I placed an order in 12/18 for a 2k$ lamp. The seller asked me to confirmed my address 2 days later and I replied immediately. Since that, I haven't heard anything back and seller never replied to my emails. I have reached out to 1stdibs customer service, they said they contacted the seller but never updated me in anything. I had to write to call to get updates that were always the same « we will contact the seller again » Long story short we are 1/4, I don't have my lamp, I've asked for a refund and still haven't heard back, I wrote them comments on Instagram to try to get an update but they immediately block me and delete my comments without responding. So I would recommend to stay away from this website and its sellers

TRUST ME - They have ZERO support if your item comes damaged. Only buy through them if you are willing to lose the money you are spending on your item. I wish there was a better way to warn people to shop elsewhere! I wish I could convey how bad this return process is. I am hours into this, with no resolution. I had to dispute it on my credit card. Do not buy through 1stdibs, try and contact the seller through a different platform. If your item comes damaged it is impossible to get help from 1stdibs. I have a case open and get random email on the subject suggesting I take it to get the item repaired.

Easy interface and a lot of great art!

It appears 1stDibs takes the extra step in vetting it's sellers. I had an excellent experience with my recent jewelry purchase. Item was well represented and arrived in excellent condition. I was pleased with shipment and packaging. Seller was helpful and provided excellent communication throughout the process. Will plan to contact my seller again when I need a gift.

I love browsing on 1stDibs, what can I say, it's got the best selection of beautiful unique jewelry and goods. I just wish they managed the individual sellers a bit better. But I'll still keep browsing and maybe buying.

I purchased a light fixture that arrived broken. I could not get it installed for a couple weeks and then found out it was defective. They only have a limited 7 day window to file a claim. I couldn’t and they basically told me to go to hell.

Whilst surfing Internet l received pop up from 1st dibs for a canvas directors chair which interested me. I began filling in my details but couldn't see the price. After searching the site the price was revealed - £1,989.52 for 1 canvas folding directors chair! Lucky l hadn't filled in payment details
