Poor customer service

Was initially impresses with the service and furniture, however I notice severe sagging issues soon after purchase. I phone and asked if this is normal. Was told not normal will contact manufacturer. Over a month heard nothing contacted company, their response, they haven't heard from manufacturer, will chase... still no response .... won't use them again.

Purchased new fish aquarium from this company. It arrived right on time and extremely well packaged. It is very sturdy and looks lovely when set up. Very happy with the price and can recommend them .

Sorrento Garden Furniture

I ordered two flat packed hardwood Sorrento chairs and stools in light grey in May 2023 which were delivered promptly. When unpacked there was damage to a stool side and two cushions had marks. These were replaced. After a few weeks of standing in my garden the screw covers had fallen out of the screw holes and I noticed the colour had changed from grey to cream. I was passed on to the supplier Gablemere who initially didn’t accept the change of colour. After photos and a call to Garden Street I was offered another set. I decided to try the natural colour to avoid further colour problems. When it arrived some pieces were also damaged. After further discussions I agreed to try yet another set of grey as I was told it was now being made by a different manufacturer in a better quality wood. I was assured it would be checked before sending out. I received the new set in identical boxes in the usual flimsy packaging which was torn. One of the chairs had damage and a marked cushion which looked as though it had already been returned. I had not kept the original large boxes as I didn’t expect to send it all back and I have no where to store them. I was advised I would have to source my own boxes to send the original set back. At this point I was fed up and wanted a full refund. They eventually agreed to send some boxes large enough to return the goods, when they arrived and were not large enough for the chairs. They send another box. Over the main three summer months I had three sets of damaged furniture, I spent hours unpacking, assembling, dismantling and re-packaging plus phone calls and emails, many deliveries and collections, I bought two rolls of packing tape, and I still don’t have any garden furniture! I feel very upset and frustrated. A goodwill gesture would have been welcome and then I wouldn’t be writing this review but they even refused to refund me for the rolls of tape without a receipt. The furniture is poor quality and poorly packed. I will not be buying from them again.

Once ordered and paid for I was advised that I would receive a call from couriers regarding the delivery . Unfortunately this did not happen , thankfully when the delivery arrived someone was home . Courier told my partner he needed help lifting the item ! On opening the product we noticed a few items had slight damage to ends and corners , something to be aware of , maybe package the product better especially the ends and corners . We had to use plyers to bend the areas open . The cardboard box was very battered so could of been done in transit. I would recommend that better communication and product to be treated with a bit more respect. Advise couriers to communicate with customer . Happy with product once we put together took approximately 5hrs .
