I used this service to help me prepare…
I used this service to help me prepare my family tree. There was a lot in it that was helpful to me , mostly other people’s trees that had ancestors in common with me. It all helped me to move forward with my research. However, as an Irish researcher, I found too much emphasis on the Great Britain experience and unless you up graded to an even more expensive package a lot was not accessible to me.

Good site for locating records but…
Good site for locating records but there seems to be no link between DNA results uploaded to Living DNA and Findmypast.

Easy to use and great record collections
I found the site very easy to use and extremely helpful in getting quite a few unknown family connections resolved. The 1921 Census was particularly useful as was the 1939 register.

Always gone to this website for quick…Go to 'Find My Past'!
Always gone to this website for quick finds, historical facts, hard to discover records as very good interface. Would like 1921 Census to be accessible without having to subscribe. Definitely recommend to anyone who hits 'a brick wall' in their research.

Difficult accessibility
I find that if I search for someone then maybe search again in 2-3 months it creates another person profile, I can’t merge them. If I compare with other websites I can get conflicting information or cannot find same information. This is not necessarily find my past doing but can be. I really like find my past, especially for records from home. I realise you are running a business but there always appears to be added costs, like accessing newspapers or military records and now we have 1921 census, which, I understand, that you have sole access.

good value for money
Find my past has easily accessible databases. Searching is sometimes a bit clunky -finding the right search terms, for example. The newspaper scans are a bit hit and Miss but I have turned up some good stories. I usually spend up to an hour at a time on the site. I recommend taking manual notes otherwise it is easy to lose your thead. You can save documents for your own use and send them to your printer too which is great if you are working with an elderly person who hates computer screens.
