4****, but have wish for 2 improvements

Regarding the records I keep: instead of showing date of my access to the record, show the date of the actual record. Secondly, I wish there was a way to copy newspaper articles so I could actually read the print! I love the parish registers!

Excellent resources

I especially love the Irish records but have found very useful UK records as well. I love that I can get copies of the original in many cases. Thanks Findmypast

Progressively improving every day.

I've been researching records in Ireland, Great Britain and the U.S. and find more and more on this website. I'll soon become a go-to site for many people.

Your site is wonderful

My family has been searching for my grandfather for 50 years. Finally found him and wife on Irish records on your site. Also the site is so easy to use. Thank you.

Amazing unique records

FindMyPast is essential for genealogy research in the UK and Ireland especially, but they are also continually adding to their US, Australian and other collections. In addition to hundreds of baptisms, marriages and burials for my ancestors, I have found my elusive Irish ancestors fishing without a license and rowing Queen Victoria around a lake on her visit to County Kerry. I have found my British ancestors applying to school, serving in the military, and making their wills. Often the original documents are visible with a click. With some record sets they make it really easy to order documents that must be obtained from another repository. For example, I recently obtained a beautiful color copy of a will (delivered electronically in one day) from the Borthwick Institute in Yorkshire, corroborating my research, by using a link on FMP to the order form. I find new information every day.

Citations required

Findmypast is good but I would love to see proper citations for each record that can be copied and pasted. Other major genealogy sites are great examples of what is required.

Satisfactory records

However, staff seem to not understand queries or take too long to rectify something.
