When our group decided that a sailing adventure in the Greek islands was the right holiday for us, we were lucky that an internet search connected us with Sarah Klische and DMA Yachting. Sarah communicated clearly with us to gain an understanding of our budget, schedule, and special requirements before presenting a variety of options. After Sarah completed her due diligence on our preferred boat, we booked the Blue Horizon, a Dufour 48 built in 2020 and based in Preveza. Sarah’s clear communication from booking through embarkation was great and ensured that the crew was fully prepared to meet our expectations. The Blue Horizon was a perfectly maintained boat with captain and hostess. The layout was great and comfortably accommodated our group of nine in five en-suite cabins (the crew had their own cabin). Captain Ilias did a great job selecting a route that would provide plenty of fun for both adults and kids. Every day was a new adventure with pristine coves, quaint villages, and lots of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and soaking in the views. Aggeliki (“Sailor Jelly”) served as first mate, chef, and hostess. She prepared some of the best food we had ever tasted, all presented so beautifully that we can understand why Sailor Jelly has such a large Instagram following. She always had outstanding recommendations for meals onshore and kept the boat in spotless condition. Ilias and Aggeliki worked tirelessly over the course of our 7-day charter to ensure that the group had an incredible experience. We had no issues or problems whatsoever and can’t recommend Ilias and Aggeliki enough. The right boat and layout were important factors, but the crew made our Ionian charter a smashing success. Thank you, Sarah, for arranging our charter, and thank you, Ilias and Aggeliki, for your professionalism and attention to detail. We hope to be lucky enough to sail with you again!
