A lot of the spools had a good amount of tippet sticking out. I bought 3 spools in mono and 3 in fluro. Most had a bunch of tippet sticking out an the plastic band that holds it were either folded up badly to allow it to fall off freely or there was a few that were secured on well.

Ed’s fly shop is wonderful! We have a lot of great fly shops in Colorado, but Ed has the best selection. I live in Denver but I’ll online shop at Ed’s anytime. Very responsive and helpful.
