I attended the Door Supervisors Course delivered by 1 Ace Security between 7 February and 10 February 2019. This is a 4 day intensive course course starting at 0930hrs and ending at 18:30hrs with one break of 50 minutes. The amount of knowledge one is required to absorb to pass the examination (which takes place on Day 3) is vast; I would advise therefore that you book a course at least 2 weeks advance, as you will need this time to do the pre-read (sent by 1 Ace Security via email for downloading), as there will not be sufficient time to do this during the course. It's my opinion that 1 Ace security is a thoroughly professional company that will do everything to ensure that you pass first time - but you have to put in the effort.The support staff are knowledgeable and helpful and the whole process from registering an interest to taking the exams passed without a hitch. I was particularly impressed by Roy Duthie, the tutor who took my course. He ran a well disciplined class of around 30 students for the whole 4 days on his own; delivering the necessary material with skill and professionalism that I have rarely seen. With 30 years plus experience in the security business Roy has a wealth of material and stories to draw from and was easily able to keep the class engaged, informed and entertained for the whole course. In short, if you are looking to take your Door supervisors course I have no hesitation in recommending 1 Ace Security.

It was honestly the best training I have ever done. I am 19 years old and I was worried that it will be hard to concentrate for so long but Roy Duthie was great and made everything very interesting. Really recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Roy the trainer was very knowledgeable and provided real life examples of his own experiences when discussing the course content and this made the DS material more real and relevant to me.

The course was intense however, extremely engaging and interesting. Learning materials are sent to you prior to the course so if you'd like to do some reading beforehand to prepare you will have them. With my experience in educational establishments I understand that the theory side of courses can be extremely tedious and boring but my instructor (Roy Duthie) was very engaging with all students, made the course interesting and enjoyable for all. The instructor was very knowledgable and used his experiences in order to teach rather than reading from a book. Overall, I would highly recommend this course!!!

I love the training, brilliantly conducted, roy Vincent are fantastic trainers. I had learnt a lot which previously I did not know although have been working in the security industry for many years in another country. The course is simple and hopefully with a bit of effort you should be able to get through without any serious difficulties. The venue probably can be improved as the building is old. However you can't complain for the price the course is being done. Cant find a better deal on this, I would be looking forward to do the cctv and CSCS course if go through the Door supervisor course. I would definitely recommend 1 Ace Security.
