They try to collect all your info!

Signing up with your email, confirming your email, giving them your cell phone number, verifying your cell phone number, connecting your profile to facebook, paying with paypal is all NOT enough for verification on this scam site. They charged me for a gift card and then suspended my account so I don't have any access to the gift card I just bought. Now to activate your account, they ask you to send them a copy of your driving license or passport!!! How crazy is that?? No need to try and call them, they don't pick up the phone: first it's "all operators are busy", then - "leave a message and we will call you back". TOTAL SCAM!!

Scam - beware!

They charged my credit card for a gift card, then suspended my account and will not provide the gift card code. They requested copies of my driver's license, passport, and other personal information AFTER I bought the gift card and are holding the gift card hostage to try to get me to submit the unnecessary and extremely personal information. This site is a complete and utter scam. Beware!!!

Best way to use gyft cards

I have no issues with gyft as a company. They asked for my id, and it went fine even with my slightly modified Id (my wallet would close unless I put a notch near the edge of the I'd. My only issue is the speed of receiving a card on the android app. The card will activate right away on the website but not on the android app. So i have to activate it on the website, then sync the gyft wallet again for the code to show in the app. I have never had to call customer service. To those having verification troubles try increasing the resolution of your scan and don't use a smart phone to scan the Id, the higher the resolution the better try a 300 by 300 pixel scan at minimum. And crop out all borders from around the card.

Shady Company, horrible customer service, scam. Beware

GYFT is one SCARY company to deal with! BEWARE! It sounds like they might be running a scam. It started after I opened an account (they've been around a couple of years, so I thought they were legit.) So I proceeded to try to buy a gift card and my payment didn't go through (credit card), which is odd, so I tried again. That didn't work either, so I proceeded to use my PayPal email as payment. A few moments after that, I received an email saying that my account was suspended. So after reaching for customer service, they asked that they needed my ID as verification. I didn't think of it much since even PayPal does that. Well, they refused to un-suspend my account. After this ordeal (and unhelpful customer sevice), I wouldn't want to deal with this company, HOWEVER, I am concerned regarding what information is out there that they have to make that decision. They refused to tell me anything, and it is not as if any of my information is new or new accounts (paypal user over 15 years, same bank account & credit card for ages, old phone, no new address). Basically nothing that should have raised a flag, but they still wouldn't tell me why. My concern now is that they have ALL MY INFORMATION, ALL OF IT! ID, credit card, PayPal email, address, phone! I don't even know what to do. I'm going to start looking around, after reading some other horror stories about this company. So if I can't find any information, I may have to contact agencies (Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General, etc...) Darn it! Wish I had read some of these horror stories before I proceeded! BEWARE! DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! STEER AWAY!

Slow and awful customer service, glitched identity checks prevent me from buying

It worked for a while, but then I started receiving messages that I need to confirm my identity via SMS. I verify my phone number and it's still the same, it would ask me to link more social networks but once I do it's still useless, I just can't but anything in this awful site, and just when I mail support they take DAYS to reply, and when they do, they just reply with solutions that don't work or don't apply to your case. When I try to follow up the problem, they stop answering for good, and it's not the first time! this was in my THIRD account, that's right, other accounts were downright DISABLED because of the identity check, they even ask for your ID! but they never respond once you send such a delicate information. Gyft sucks, it's irresponsible, and does nothing but make its customers miserable.
