Support as promised. Rare these days

Our group of four had planned and purchased a scotland golf tour this summer. We had purchased a TUGO travel policy in spite of insurance / trip disruption coverage we already had with our credit cards AND our airline! Long story short, our airline delayed flights to europe, causing us to miss the first two days of our tour. Requests to our airline (as they had caused the pro lem) were met with a canned response that they accepted no fault. Our credit card company said the same. I had expected to get the same runaround from TUGO (first experience) but in fact received prompt and professional service. Our claim was satisfied and we were reimbursed in full. My thanks go to TUGO for standing behind their product. Wish I could say the same about the airline!

Tugo responded quickly

Tugo responded quickly when I had a claim and kept me well informed as it was processed by the medical clinic I visited while on holiday in the United States. I really like that I can purchase or renew my policy either online or with an agent who lives in my city. I’ve done both with excellent results. Tugo also has the lowest rates I’ve been able to find.

BUYER BEWARE

This company have gone out of their way to be impractical in dealing with my emergency. Buyer beware. Read the fine print. They notified me on the day that my coverage lapsed that they would not cover my flight even though I was medically not allowed to fly.

i was diagnosed with cancer while we were on vacation and with the help of some great Florida doctors and our insurance company, we were very well taken care of.. the representatives we dealt with from Tugo we’re very patient and of great help, and they did their very best to help us in each and every way… I am very very happy. We had such a good travel insurance in our time of need.

My excellent experience with out of country coverage

Personally, my husband and I would like to say “Thank You” to TuGo. I got very sick, with pneumonia, last year( 2022 ) while travelling in the USA and I had to be hospitalized for 6 days. ToGo gave us advice and tried to get me home, to our local hospital, in Ontario, and our hospital was full. Therefore I stayed in the USA hospital and ToGo covered all expenses. There was no mix ups and no big issues with receipts etc. Thank you ToGo for your compassion.

If you don't think you need insurance, think again!

My father suffered a massive stroke while on vacation in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and ended up in hospital. TuGo helped my mother every step of the way to deal with the paperwork needed to open the claim. They organized his return home to Nova Scotia, Canada via air ambulance. They had great communication with us, were informative, direct and at the same time compassionate. Without their assistance this whole situation would have been way more complicated. If you think you don't need medical or emergency travel insurance, think again. We never imagined a situation like this would happen and are very thankful for the amazing customer service and coverage TuGo was able to provide.

It was my first time to use TUGO

It was my first time to use TUGO. I must say that they were available when I called them from my hospital bed that dreadful night while on vacation. The challenge was with the hospital because they did not agree to do direct billing as per the Tugo staff request but insisted that I pay out of pocket and follow up with my insurance. Thank God I was able to pay otherwise it would have been detrimental. Tugo instructed me to collect all the payment receipts and email them which I did upon return to Canada. It took 6 weeks and they refunded all the hospital bill amount. I will purchase my next travel medical insurance with you. Thank you TuGo

Voyage interrompu en Europe à cause de la Covid

Lors d'un voyage en Europe à l'automne 2022, j'ai contracté la Covid et j'ai dû abandonner le groupe pour demeurer en isolement. Avant de partir, j'avais eu soin de prendre une assurance complémentaire pour un tel cas. Lorsque j'ai contacté Tugo de l'étranger, l'agent fut très gentil et rassurant. Il m'a fait parvenir par courriel le document à remplir au retour à la maison. J'ai fourni toutes les documents demandés par TUGO. On m'a fait un accusé réception dès la réception de mon dossier à leurs bureaux de B.C et le traitement a été très rapide par la suite . Je suis satisfaite du remboursement et ce ne fut pas compliqué. Je n'hésiterais pas à reprendre une assurance complémentaire avec TuGo pour un autre voyage. .

We are so glad and grateful to find a travel insurance with age unlimited coverage for our mom who is visiting us in Canada. Her hospital bill was covered without any problems. TuGo insurance was a great support in our emergency situation. Highly recommend!
