Buying Cinema4d license

Buying Cinema4d license: not bad respnse via the web chat they said it would be done in the morniing after me ordering it around 8am ( although most of the literature said it would be cleared in 2 hours) I asked if they could speed it up and the answer said they would contact the team no further message until the license number came through at 11.50 (cutting it fine) bit poor really as no further respense, and as Germany is an hour ahead wasnt even done in the morning

Quick service but confused communication

Quick service, and the agents are easy to contact but there was some confusion over serial numbers - communications from local agents and HQ got a little crossed over.

Having been onto their site and ordered …

Having been onto their site and ordered an expensive piece of software, clicking the option to have it delivered by post rather than just downloading, I received an email the following day informing me that 'our colleagues in Germany who generate the serials have had problems with their systems today, hence you not receiving anything' - Fair enough, these things happen! Thinking that it would be delayed in the post I awaited to here a despatch date. Another day later I received a further email supplying a 'Temporary Serial' and the day after that a 'Final Serial'. In the meantime, I had received the invoice which quite clearly identified the 'First Class Post' and so I thought it not unreasonable to expect a delivery any time soon. I contacted Maxon to ask where my postal version was (after we had already downloaded a copy) and was informed 'You didn't order the USB with your order'! I pointed out that I had in fact clicked ALL the right buttons on the online order form, and, if I hadn't done so, why did my invoice clearly identify the postal charge? 'Customer Services' eventually admitted that there was a 'bug' with this particular product on the site. So, knowing this, why didn't they immediately refund my postal charge without me having to ask for it back? Perhaps a complementary copy of the software on a USB stick (as they now claim is available and what I had originally ordered) wouldn't have gone amiss to compensate for their shortcomings...but no, just a straight postal refund! Having heard from Maxon shortly after writing the above report, they did indeed contact me to apologise for the error and kindly posted me a FOC copy of the software (as a back-up) that I thought I had originally requested. All good now and I'm happy that my original concerns have been addressed in a timely manner.

Great Product

Great Product. Just annoying to have to wait till the next day to be sent a link to download your purchased product. And if you purchase 2 sets of 3 months after each other = 6 months. It would be great to be offered a discount on a further 6 month contract. Besides this, the product is great.

Lack of communication

This is based on the fact that I have still not receive my R19 upgrade and had been given no explanation until I contacted Maxon myself. Surely if there is a problem with the database for generating R19 serial numbers it would have been polite to let their customers know.

Spent £,1000 on upgrade and two weeks later still no upgrade. I contacted them and they seemed very laid back and took no steps to rectify the situation. Won't shop there again.
