I am going out of my mind- RESOLVED
I am going out of my mind. My water keeps shutting off and I can’t find any leaks . I’ve increased flow and bypass increased but it is detecting water and I’m at a loss. Last night it went off at 2:00am. I turned back on and the timer was not running. It then shut off at 7 am. I went through the same action and no problems until evening. I just allowed the shut off and don’t know what to do. I have had a recent leak so worried. No sleep. Help. Turned humidifier low. It is very cold in Detroit areA so I’ve even put down my 3 furnaces. HELP. Thank you for your help. FloLogic stands behind the product. There is a learning curve to understanding the product. Once I master it all will be fine. I am impressed with the quick response and think I have it straight. The app is a must.
Disappointing purchase for vacation home
We installed the FloLogic in a vacation home at the strong urging of Chubb Insurance but have been very disappointed due to high installation costs, multiple false alarms, and minimal insurance savings. Installation required: -an electrician to install a grounded outlet next to the FloLogic valve -a plumber to install extension piping because the valve was too large to fit in the space available in a newly constructed house -an alarm technician to interface the unit with the home security system as required by our homeowner's insurance to qualify for what turned out to be a minimal reduction in our insurance premium. We experienced multiple false alarms at the default settings which were especially difficult to deal with in a vacation home far from our residence. The last straw has been further false alarms generated by an exterior motion-activated sprinkler installed to deter geese from landing on a lakeside dock, Our only options now are to further adjust the leak thresholds to a point that they may not actually provide protection, incur further plumbing expense by changing the piping supplying the external spigot, or living with a dock defiled by waterfowl. Instead of peace of mind, this device has provided an ongoing source of annoyance to the point that it is now doubtful I would believe it if it ever reported an actual leak,
False alarms
Flologic, Thank you for your quick response to our issues, hopefully with your help we can get the false alarms resolved. We have been receiving false alarms with a newly installed system. Please contact me so that we can discuss. Thank you Marcel 207-415-0858
Flo Logic responded to our problem
We have had this system for 9 years. It stopped woking and we couldn't get it to work. Flo Logic did it's best to help us. They sent us a part that was bad, but sent another part that fixed the system. We were able to do it ourselves, as we couldn't find a plumber in the Coachella Valley to work on the system . The only drawback is finding someone to work on this system.
This product is EXCELLENT
This product is EXCELLENT! It saved me yesterday, as I was out all day and my hot water tank failed. Fortunately, the Flologic device shut the water off after only a few seconds. If I did not have the Flologic, I would have come home with a huge flood in my garage. Also, Chuck and the guys at customer service are THE BEST ! Wonderful product with super customer service. THANK YOU ! Mark
Your FloLogic system can now be controlled from anywhere in the world!
As a long-time FloLogic owner and fan, I was excited when the new CONNECT module became available that allows wireless (WiFi) control of one’s valve from anywhere in the world! I am please to report that it works exceptionally well, and the mobile app is outstanding! Beautiful, intuitive, simple, robust, and with a framework to support additional functionality in the future! The architecture of the system is also well thought out, because the system operates autonomously, too, such that if one does lose internet connectivity, your home or business is still protected. I highly recommend the FloLogic system and the new CONNECT WiFi module! (Note: Please DO contact FloLogic to ensure compatibility for older FloLogic models, such as the one I have.)
FloLogic /FS-500 Review - Both Installed in May 2018
I had the FloLogic installed in May along with the FS-500 Flow Switch. I also had it integrated with my OMNI home control security panel. Everything is working perfectly. There was an issue originally with a circuit board but it was promptly replaced. I also installed a 100 foot extension cable. My only concern with it is that the end that connects to the control panel was very unsecure - easy to break the wires if not careful. All is working as intended - it discovered a toilet leak and outside faucet leak immediately after installation. The FS-500 works perfect as well. It allows my whole house humidifier to continue to fill its water reservoir and overrides the leak detection system. When the new circuit board is available to allow complete home control I will raise my rating to 5 stars. I was originally told that would be end of June but to date have not heard anything more about it. I know but my home security professional installer is anxiously waiting for it because his demand for installing the FloLogic system will increase if that is available.
WIFI?
The device is great and does everything it's supposed to. The big issue I have is that when I have talked over then last 2 years they keep telling me the app for the phone is almost ready. Now my emails inquiring about the app go unanswered. Very disappointing to have such a great product but not the connectivity everyone wants. There are a couplemdevices out there now that have the WIFI capability and will be switching my Flo Logic out with one of them

Back-up or primary
I've never had a plumbing issue in my house, so I don't know if it works or not. I've run tests and it did what it was supposed to do, so I guess that's a good sign. I installed version 1 when I built my house in 2001. A few years later, it just died. I replaced it with version 3. It wouldn't work. Customer service was able to help me find a loose wire while I was under the house on the phone with them! I re-attached the wire and everything booted up as it should. in 2012, we had an ice storm that knocked out my power for about a week. When the power came back on, I checked the system and found the battery was dead. I replaced it with a battery from FloLogic. A year later, that battery was dead. I replaced it with a battery from another source, A year later, that battery was dead, as well. A dead battery wouldn't be an issue except for the fact that when the battery dies, the system won't work at all. I contacted customer service and was told that the battery is actually the primary source of power and that the AC hook-up just provides a trickle charge to keep it charged up. Funny thing is, the included paper work and the website both refer to the battery as a "system battery for back-up power in the event of loss of A/C." So which is it? All I know is, right now there's a dead white box on my wall that will stay that way until FloLogic comes up with something better because I can't keep throwing money away on $35.00 batteries.
