Replace Sensor
It is frustrating to see the message come up on the monitor "Disabled Check P5". Which in the past has meant replacing the sensor. This is not an inexpensive situation. What can be done to prevent this failure from happening?
junk
I Had a first generation flologic, spent big money and after warranty expires the valve quits working, the flow meter quits working. no way to replace it, no warranty so junk it is!!
A good idea but flawed
Unless you put the Flologic at a high level it shuts off the water constantly when least expected. There has to be a manner in which it would be able to monitor the flow of water and tell the difference over a time certain whether or not it is a leak or shower??
Early alert to evolving pinhole leak
Flow logic alarms indicated a very low volume but persistent leak. That led to watchfulness so that as soon as the volume was sufficient for the leak detection company to locate the leak we had it repaired. That preceded any show of water in the house...leak was in a manifold on the slab so that at low volume the leakage was running back into the ground. Without the Flologic we would have discovered the leak by water penetration of the walls, with attendant damage.
Peace of Mind
Now, when we are away for even a few hours, we have the comfort of knowing that unwanted water flow will be stopped.
Flologic
This is a great devise. I works perfectly anc provides complete peace of mind
works fine until you need to replace the battery
The battery wore out and I replaced it but I have not got the system to start working again. I bought 2 different batteries and the system simply will not accept them. Waste of money except that I needed to install it for insurance because of previous flood.
FloLogic works
I did not get the Internet option because my plumber said it was not reliable. Otherwise the unit works perfectly and gives me peace of mind when I am away.
An added measure of security.
After seeing a neighbor with undermined foundation and another whose house had to be gutted after an upstairs bathroom leak, I decided to install FloLogic whole house water shutoffs in two houses. We have never had a problem. Solid engineering and trouble-free operation for eight years.
Have had great success.
We had a Flo-Logic installed after having a hot water pipe leak in our crawl space while on vacation. The leak caused warping of hardwood floors, doors, and created mold that had to be professionally removed under the supervision of an environmental engineer. The device has served us well with the only problem being an occasional shut down when the water softener is working. I have recommended Flo-Logic to all of my friends, family, and real estate business associates.
