This was a fairly large combined expenditure on both classical music downloads (in CD or enhanced CD quality) + sheet music. Prices, as ever, were very competitive and the process of choosing and selecting the right recordings was made easier by the reviews usually made available, including by their own expert staff. The process of downloading was very easy too. By far the most comprehensive selection available of classical music recordings and one of the few where instant downloads, often in a wide variety of formats, is nearly always available. Very knowledgeable and interesting reviews by their own staff, whose background is provided. What more could you expect?

A really useful website, and great service once an order is placed. This is my first choice for all classical CDs (and occasionally, downloads).

Quality and easy to use.

Presto Music had available .mp3 files of songs from the Spy Game (2001) soundtrack. No other website offered these items.

The website is really clunky. The search engine is not set up to detect mispellings or even alternate spellings, so you pretty much have to know which spelling Presto Music uses. Everything works very slowly, too. More slowly than any other site I've ever used. Hit the back button (or the forward button) and then go make yourself a cuppa. You'll then have something to sip while you wait for the next time you hit the back button. The pages populate very eccentrically as well, whether for browsing all of a sale's items or just all of a composer's items. Sooner or later, duplicate items begin to appear, sometimes right next to each other. Also, sometimes if you click on an item to scope it out in more detail, and then click back to the previous page, you will find that the items on that page have mysteriously changed. So going on the site is always kind of a cranky experience. But I like music. And I like the weight of downloads (zero). My computer is crammed with downloads, but it weighs just the same as when I bought it. Magic! So I put up with the crankiness. And will continue to put up with it. Doesn't make it any less cranky. Heigh ho.

Prestomusic is the only place I buy sheet music, downloads, CDs or classical music DVDs. True for many years and because the range is the fullest available, the ordering simplicity is ideal and the prices are correct.

I have been using Presto regularly for several years, mostly downloading FLAC files, though know they also stock a huge range of CDs too. Vast selection of music - Classical - being my preference. Excellent newsletter giving details and reviews of new issues - which are both very helpful and tempting, and being able to listen to samples before you buy is valuable bonus. Downloads always at good price and never any problems in doing so. Highly recommended.
