Presto has the advantage that the records are (mostly) well documented: (1) it is also clear which version of several published versions with the same piece of music and the same musicians is currently on the screen; (2) in many cases reviews are cited; (3) the wish list storage ia very simple and works well, for records I just might want to keep an eye on or am not sure they are the ones; (4) when I shut down the computer they "save" my basket if I was in the process of ordering music but had not finished. (5) the contributions on music - Katherine Cooper, David Smith and James Longstaff in particular - have proven to be very reliable guides to excellent records.

Presto Classical is my go-to place for classical downloads. Firstly, it is an easy site to navigate although the search engine is not as fluid as other sites; so searches often have to be restrictively simple. Secondly, there is always some sale(s) on and who doesn't like a bargain. It would be useful to be able to filter the sales items from my 72 page wish list rather than have to manually scan every page every time. Thirdly, prices are competitive particularly compared to the ubiquitous online giant. Finally, samples of tracks are generous in length. The website is pleasant and the purchase and download procedures are easy to use. It is about as close is you can get to that old custom of browsing in a real shop. Presto Classical is my go to site for 95% of my digital purchases.

I love Presto Music and have purchased many downloads over the years. The site is comprehensive but also user friendly, and bargains always abound. I've never had a problem downloading an order. I've never purchased physical media so I can't comment on that aspect.

Found Presto Music through an internet search for a particular classical title. Am very pleased with the wide variety of titles that are available in hi-res. Will be back for more!
