Another woeful encounter with this woeful company. How they got my details in the first instance I don’t know, but they cold called (using a local number calling service) and promised the moon and stars with their service. The reality is that once you’re in, everything plummets rapidly downhill. Waiting days for replies to emails, no account manager, so whatever your issue, you’ll be lucky to speak to the same person twice. I should have known from the outset when our new bin at the start of the contract, wasn’t even delivered to our property but the next street across. The contract terms included amongst other things, a lockable bin (never provided) and collection of the bin using the two vehicular access points to our property. These access points were detailed on a Google map and form An integral part of the contract. Instead for the last two years the bin has been repeatedly squeezed through a pedestrian access, causing damage to the property and creating a dangerous hazard, as the bin is never returned to its proper position, the brakes not engaged, leaving the bin free to roll onto the pavement and into a very busy road. The following is the standard of communication:- “ The depot raised with us regarding this location that was provided upon set up of the contract they cannot service within this area, due to health adn safety and the bin placement could cause damaged to the wall and to the bin which I can see we have previously had a issue with damage to wall therefore the depot will not service the same area to prevent further risk of damage, The unit will need to be kept in an alternative place for services moving forward, Please confirm if there is any alternative location where the unit can be kept that is not within two tight spaces.” For over two years the company’s agent (BIFFA) has been collecting from a place that suited them, breaching the terms of the contract, but are now refusing to collect the bin at all, from this or its contracted location. The tail has most definitely wagged the dog in this relationship and we are now being held to ransom, with our bin not being emptied for two, approaching three weeks. We have never received any of the compensation that was offered (e-vouchers) so do check your facts and the contract before responding to this review, Waste Managed. This is the worst business decision I have ever made and we will NOT be renewing our contract with Waste Managed or using BIFFA for our commercial waste moving forward.
