What started off as a promising move…

What started off as a promising move turned into a shambles, not the poor guys who do the "donkey work" they were amazing but the co ordination between the transport section and office were quite frankly abysmal. The bed was damaged the mattress marked they did send the "Cleaning Doctor" who was somewhat successful at removing the marks, for some reason some of our boxes were damp, pictures broken not wrapped in bubble wrap. After telling the Transport dept there was a 12,6 ft bridge to get under they sent a 13,6 lorry so it could not get to the arranged site that I had arranged for transfer to a smaller vehicle. To this date we have not heard from Armishaws in relation to any of our complaints....Be Wary is all I can say. Our possessions were supposed to be stored in the lorry that it was put in but it is quite obvious it has been transhipped at some stage and the damage done "Not" impressed.....

Despite Storm Brendan, we made it!

We moved during Storm Brendan & its baby brother. The team worked in atrocious conditions, remaining pleasant throughout. Sadly, the driver/leader was taken very ill during the move in day (he did well to keep going the first day) and was unable to continue. The 2 remaining lads did a sterling job moving us in in tremendous rain, but obviously took longer to do so, but got everything in roughly the right places - they were soaked to the skin. In terms of breakages, we lost 1 cocktail glass - all important stuff arrived unscathed.
