Avoid this company at all cost -5 Stars
To begin with, the delivery process through FedEx has been consistently unreliable. Despite assurances of timely delivery, my orders have often arrived days later than promised, causing inconvenience and disruption to my medication schedule. This lack of punctuality is unacceptable, especially considering the critical nature of the medications being delivered. Furthermore, I was alarmed to discover that my medications were left unattended on the shelf, possibly for an extended period. The negligent handling of medications, particularly those requiring refrigeration, poses serious health risks. Inexcusably, my medication requiring refrigeration was left at room temperature due to the fridge time being left on the shelf. This oversight compromises the integrity and effectiveness of the medication and could potentially jeopardize my health. Upon contacting Pocket Pills staff to address this issue, I was met with a dismissive response. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a solution, I was simply told, "Too bad, we are not going to replace it." This callous attitude towards customer concerns is deeply troubling and reflects a lack of regard for the well-being of individuals relying on your service for essential healthcare needs. In addition to the mishandling of medications, the customer support provided by Pocket Pills has been grossly inadequate. Responses to inquiries have been slow, and resolutions offered have been unsatisfactory. It is deeply disappointing to encounter such a lack of responsiveness and accountability when dealing with matters as crucial as healthcare.
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. Got dose wrong from doctor and I was short medication for a week. Took me many, many texts to get them to send the correct prescription and they still say they sent the correct one. Extremely frustrating to deal with. Will not use again.
Absolutely Awful
This pharmacy is the absolute worst to deal with. When I originally signed up with Pocketpills I was told it would be next day delivery. 3 days later my prescription hasn’t even been looked at. Then when I call I’m told my insurance said they wouldn’t cover the drugs and was told to talk with my nurse about an alternative. So I did that and she was about to send in my new prescription. Then they send a text message that my prescription is covered. Ok great so I should receive it the next day right? Nope! Now they have to order the drugs from somewhere else and this is going to take another week and a half! Also they charged my card 3 times for the prescription! And they have changed the qty the nurse had on my prescription so I will now run out before I get my next appointment and prescription. No matter how many times you think things will be fixed they manage to come up with a new way to screw up. It’s absolutely amazing how horrible this place is. Also I originally posted a review, they basically called and bribed me into removing or changing the review for a gift card. Gift card isn’t going to do me any good if I’m dead because I haven’t had my medication. Seriously avoid this place if you can!
No one answers the phone
No one answers the phone. No response to email inquiries. Extremely poor customer service.
If I could rate a 0 I would
If I could rate a 0 I would The fist time I used them I had issues and posted a negative review. A manager called and asked I remove my post in exchange for an Amazon gift card….. Now a few years later I get a text message saying my prescription was being filled… I texted back and was told what it was… then I decided to call and was told that someone had the same first name and dob as me and there was a mistake and someone else’s was added to my chart. I asked that a manager call me as I was worried about a data leak involving my health information and was told that there are checks and balances in place and that they caught the mistake. I assured him it was me who caught the misstate as I had to call to sort this out. He advises it was a tech issue and also one human error and it will be addressed. I have had 2 interactions work this company (one not even one initiated by me) and both times there was concerns
Used to be great - switched to a local pharamcy.
I had a lot of confidence in this pharmacy initially, and have used them for several years. However recent changes to pricing practices and policies have led me to choose a local pharmacy instead. 1. Price Fixing - this organization engages in price fixing with partner health providers such as LiveWell. They charge MORE for prescriptions from Livewell based on their partnership to cover "Services". However, Livewell already charges a fee for services, so this indicates they are getting a kickback. 2. Delivery - I've had numerous challenges with delivery from this pharmacy. Almost all local pharmacies also deliver - and in many cases faster than PocketPills will. 3. Preferred Pricing Program - They select which drugs and healthcare vendors these programs apply to. It's an internal policy and they just decided to exclude licensed healthcare providers from certain health vendors from this program. It seems like they discriminate against licensed healthcare providers internally for preferred pricing programs. 4. They used to provide some convenience around prescription refills and connecting me with a physician for refills of regular drugs - until they forget, don't remind you, or don't delivery associated refills on time. 5. Pricing - This pharmacy has some of the highest dispensing fees and drug costs I have seen. A quick call to a local pharmacy will confirm this is the case.
Stick with a regular pharmacy
Stick with a regular pharmacy. They boast about how you won’t have to wait in line to get your meds, but with a regular pharmacy at least you can usually pick it up same day. It’s literally *three business days* since I have created my order and it’s not even shipped yet! They are so unbelievably slow that this is not at all more convenient than a regular pharmacy. Unacceptable delay in providing important medications to people.
MISSING DELIVERY ORDER
UPDATE FEB 15 2024 After sending video and camera log, and warning them of potential complaint to the College, pocketpills sent replacement order February 14 2024 which was received without issues. The original order was never receivewd and remains (Not Delivered). Because Pocketpills did deliver the replacement shipment, and have delivered medication ontime more than 50 times without problems and they have delivered rush shipments without problems ontime I am increasing the rating to a 4 star. ----------------------------------------------------------- MEDICATION ORDER NEVER RECEIVED. Charged for medication never delivered. Pocketpills has deliverwed to me over 50 times with no issiues using Flashbox Yesterday Feb 13 2024 they used a different delivery not flashbox. No tracking number, no delivery, no package nothing. Today they sent me fake picture from a previous delivery claiming it was deliverred yesterday at 9:10pm I have a secuirty camera with motion sensors in the peephole inside my door which records everyone who comes to my door. I sent them the security camera log which shows nobody came at 9:10pm, onlyu neighbour walking by 9:12pm. I sent them the video of my neighbour and told them they charged me for medication not delivered which is fraud. Spoke to supervisor BRIANNA who said she will reolve it . Nothing so far Under Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.4 on the College of Pharmacists Ontario website it states the following: .. "The pharmacy is responsible for the security of the medication and personal health information until it is received by the patient or their agent. Signature by the patient or agent upon receipt is required unless there is a valid reason for not signing Signatures may be obtained in pen-and-ink or electronically Arrangements should be made prior to delivering to ensure patient or agent will be available to accept and sign for the delivery Documentation of the circumstances leading to delivery without a signature is mandatory Patient’s agent Specified in advance by the patient to accept and sign for their prescriptions Delivery person cannot be the patient’s agent as they are the agent for the pharmacy If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the pharmacy is responsible for the ongoing auditability, traceability, integrity, and security of the medication until the delivery is successful or is returned to the pharmacy."
A Total Rip Off
A Total Rip Off Save your money and do it yourself. They completely overcharge for finasteride and minoxidil. I was getting charged $137 CAD for a 3 month supply of finasteride (1 mg), and my local Shoppers Drug Mart is able to sell me a 3 month supply of finasteride (5 mg, so I'll be using a pill cutter), for $27 CAD. Same thing for Minoxidil, you can get Rogaine Foam on Amazon for way cheaper or even drive to the United States and get Kirkland Minoxidil from Costco. Seriously, it's not worth the money buying from they. "Free Fast Delivery" is a scam, they're just adding the charge to the medications. Don't pay for an online consultation for the prescriptions, go to your local walk-in clinic, get a free prescription, and go to your local pharmacy and watch the savings roll in.
A friendly but ineffective service. 2 stars
What happened: I had arranged with work to be at home for the 12-8pm delivery window. Medication was not delivered within the 8 hour (!) delivery window. There was no communication from Pocketpills or courier about the failed delivery. I spent 15 minutes on hold with Pocketpills the next morning to follow up the failed delivery. Alternative delivery was arranged for between 4-5pm that day. A courier rang me at 3pm, asking me to sign. I told them they were earlier than communicated and I was not available to sign. I told them to come back at 4pm as planned. They said they would call me back to confirm. No call. Pocketpills is now closed, and I cannot call them. I wait 2 days. Via text, I get another 12pm-8pm delivery window for a third delivery attempt. I cannot be at home for this span of time. I ask for a tighter timeframe in order to make it work. This was not accommodated. In the end, it is 1 week later and I have to I drive to the distribution centre to pick up the medication in person. I also paid 25% more than a traditional pharmacy for this privilege. To promote this as "same day service" is a bit misleading. Summary: A bad experience. A promising concept that is, unfortunately, poorly executed. There is a disconnect between the Pocketpills office and their third party courier, resulting in unreliable delivery and poor communication. Recommendation: not worth the cost premium for the inconvenience. Stick with a traditional pharmacy unless you can be at home for long periods for multiple days.
