This company seems a waste of time, i engaged them almost a year ago £1500 later and you never hear from them after saying we have a very strong case fore a claim After posting this they have reached out to me to assure me that the claim is in the process, it just takes time so i will update again later & reserve judgement until then.

Go nowhere near this company. I've been in business 30 years and ashamed of myself for engaging with this disgrace of a company. I even had it written in my contract they would return my fee if the savings were not covered with their appeal. This was 'guaranteed' and 'promised' to happen within months. Well nearly 4 years on nothing but grief. A continual turnover of different contacts but all with the same repetitive excuses and bull. Makes the Post Office look outstanding

I have had the same problem you all have had. I am open to coming together to make a complaint or see the grounds we have legally on this company. 1 year later and no update no money back nothing.

This company promised me thousands in a rebate hassled me for months told me i had a very very strong case after there specialist team had reviewed my case, WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH they are a bunch of scammers, after 2 years with numerous members of staff leaving the company and been passed from pillar to post no communication and failed cases with the VALUATIONS OFFICE not a penny they took my £1500 and just laughed at me... JOKERS...

I feel compelled to share my incredibly disappointing experience with Hampton Lovett Consultant Surveyors Ltd, a business rates surveyor company that promised to appeal to the VOA to reduce our business rates. Unfortunately, our interaction with them has been nothing short of a regrettable waste of time and money. We entrusted Hampton Lovett with a significant sum of over £7,000, believing in their ability to provide professional services and deliver on their promises. However, we feel that they failed to do so and therefore we requested to terminate the contract. Subsequently, we received notification from them stating that another company would be taking over our case. This is a shocking revelation and a clear indicator of their inability to handle the job they were paid for. The lack of transparency and professionalism displayed by Hampton Lovett is absolutely disgusting. It is incomprehensible how a company can, in good conscience, accept payment for services and then fail to deliver on their commitments. The fact that they handed our case over to another company without any prior indication is a clear breach of trust and raises serious questions about their integrity. In essence, my experience with Hampton Lovett has been a complete letdown, and I strongly caution anyone considering their services. This company has proven to be a waste of both time and money, and their conduct is nothing short of a blatant con. I implore you to think twice before engaging with Hampton Lovett Consultant Surveyors Ltd – there are undoubtedly more reliable and trustworthy options available. Save yourself the frustration and financial loss by avoiding this company at all costs.

Modern day con artists

We instructed Hampton Lovett, on the understanding that there was a very good chance of a £7K rate reduction, with the possibility of this being complete in 12- 16 weeks, we're now 20 months down the line, with no clear picture and the only financial impact has been us paying out £6000.00 for them to subsequently hand our case over to another company, which is permissible according to their T&Cs. I'm not sure how other agencies faire, but if I had the choice again I certainly WOULD NOT HAVE BECOME INVLOVED, my advice would be to find a no win no fee service, you might pay more out in the event of a successful outcome, however you wouldn't be parting with money in first instance or in Hampton Lovetts case, the second instance too, as this is an ongoing challenge, there are additional fees for subsequent years challenges, a no fee service would "I'm sure" have more focus on the end result, I.e. a positive conclusion where they get paid. engage at your peril !!. Update 29 January 2024 we have today received the valuation office decision, based upon the challenge submitted on our behalf by Hampton Lovett, the challenge was full of holes, unprofessional and incompetently carried out, the valuation office say the following " In summary, we are not persuaded by the evidence provided in your submission that you have demonstrated that the adopted base price is unreasonable, and therefore propose no alteration to the current rating list entry." AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Do not trust this company, they will promise you that you have a good case and will receive a rate reduction and a refund of monies paid in business rates. we paid them £1,500. 3 years later we have been told the appeal has failed. i wish i had read the reviews before i parted with a penny. in my opinion they are scammers.

Claimed that we would most definitely be due a refund on our business rates, 18 months later said it was not possible £1800 out of pocket, it seems like shady practice. This process is completely under hand. I have had to amend my review as the people I am leaving a review for are trying to be sneaky and remove reviews.

What a waste of £1500, 11 months later after chasing them every month for updates and hearing nothing i get a message from the government website stating my claim was unsuccessful. we were told by Hampton Lovett that we had such a strong case it was pretty much a guaranteed claim. keep your money these people are a bunch of chancers!
