A great option to keep tots active
We joined Rugby Tots in Wimbledon Park a year ago (son 2.5 yrs when we started) and have had a very positive experience. Main Coach Ali has been excellent, helped by Tosh and Simon. My son has enjoyed the regular Saturday sessions and definitely improved his coordination and had fun doing it. As with any single sport club, it can be a bit samey from week to week and we will vary it with other sports and probably come back to it. Recomended for the blossoming rugby boy or girl and a great option to keep them active.

Rugby Tots (Ashford
Rugby Tots (Ashford, Kent) We were excited for Theo to joint RT as we believed it was going to be FUN for him and an opportunity to blow off steam with other kids his own age. From the first moment we met the coach it became clear that FUN was low on the agenda. Theo is only 2 1/2 and very outgoing but the coach was so intense he unsettled him in the first 15 mins to the point he clung to me and pointed to the door saying 'home'. The coach seemed to have a chip about the age bandings dictated by the company and was unfriendly in the extreme. I'm sure his experience and manor is well suited to teaching young adults and older children ... But bellowing In the face of toddlers is extreme and has been a negative experience for my boy. Now it's not like my boy is some soft little darling wrapped in cotton wool. He's tough and outgoing and can take some knocks. But he doesn't need to be intimidated by some great big bellowing bloke. It's ONLY a GAME and these are little kids. Taken two seriously by the coach and in no way the FUN environment described on the website. Very disappointed! My advise is go and find some men to bellow at and leave teaching kids (toddlers) to someone with some skills in that area. Giving it the big one about all his rugby achievement. BIG DEAL. All I wanted was my lad to have some fun. *** Update *** This review/ experience was made in August 2022. Your reply is January 2024. And you question the credibility of my review. Noone was interested when I reported it at the time. Hilarious response.

What about if you can’t afford it?!
Can’t get through to Head Office. Expected to buy a ridiculously expensive starter pack that we don’t want. No one answers emails, despite sending more than one. Really off putting. I have never experienced this as a parent and my kids have joined many clubs. Don’t see how forcing parents to buy a kit and a plastic bottle for £30 can be justified. Pretty terrible.

Avoid! Much better classes out there for your children.
At the price Rugbytots charge, the customer service is absolutely horrific. We couldn't attend a class due to being away one weekend, so asked to attend a different one instead, and the battle we had with them to get any sort of leeway was ridiculous! My daughter then broke a bone towards the end of her block and we were told by her Dr not to do any sports for 3 weeks, so requested a refund for the rest of her block due to this. Waste of time! We were of course told no. The staff are extremely rude during correspondence. After speaking to other parents who have used the Stirling and Clackmannanshire Rugbytots, we have learnt that our issues with Rugbytots are not isolated. It feels like Rugbytots' goal is all about money and nothing about the children! I'm sure someone will (eventually) write back to this with a list of excuses - but trust me - we have never in 3 years of attending children's classes had any issues - avoid at all costs!!

Outstanding activity for Under 7s!
My daughter has been going for 2.5 years to Dulwich RugbyTots. She absolutely loves it! Several things attracted us and kept us coming back: They are very happy to have girls (there is no physical contact at this age), the games vary every week, the coaches are passionate and great with the kids (coaches James, Dan, Joel, Chola, Georgia and Maya are outstanding). Every session is fun and they have a structured development plan from basic catching and kicking and coordination for the youngest, up to more focused rugby skills as they get older. The kids learn about teamwork, discipline and respect. Parents are also encouraged to get involved. We tried other activities elsewhere but they tended to be quite dull and repetitive. It is not cheap but I fully believe we get value for money and our daughter loves pulling on her RT kit and taking her own ball!

Forced to buy £30 ‘welcome kit’
Haven’t attended a class yet. But am horrified that you are forced to purchase a ‘welcome pack’ and can’t book the sessions with out purchasing! Not a great start and a very cynical move from this company. £30 for Shorts and t-shirt and a water bottle! Shorts and t-shirt would be less than £10 where I shop and water bottles are normally £5 if not free with something like a bottle of sunscreen. Total swindle.

Attented taster session at rugbytots…
Attented taster session at rugbytots Dundee and the coach we had was great with my toddler he had such good fun and we loved the class, however, As a single parent family often on a budget I enquired about attending weekly classes but asked about other payment options for us so my son could attend, our classes would have been paid for every single week becuase my father brought me up right and our money would have been there like every other parents was just weekly rather than a block payment,,, which let's be sensible here under the uncertainty of today's circumstances is a safer more reliable way for people to pay due to goverment legislation changing all the time anyway, I felt very stigmatised when the response was basically block payment or no classes which my son was very disappointed in, I recieved a thumbs up response to my enquiry and explanation of circumstances, I felt as though becuase I couldn't pay the 71 upfront block payment then me and my son werent important so no payment no care attitude, as a single mother I have to try hard to bring my son up the right reasonable responsible way and was very disappointed at the age of 2 years old a coaching company which is meant to be community based and community ran is basically sending out a message that these classes are purely for privileged people who can afford block payments of 71 pound every 10 weeks, I found this highly discriminating very offensive and very unfair to my child who has the right to be included and have fair chances in life like everyone else and although my circumstances are temporary due to having to give up my career to care for my parent who died of a terminal illness I can honestly say when my circumstances change and I am back to my career out of principle I would never try to enrol my son in classes who clearly cater for money alone and dis not try to help us make attending the classes work for not only myself but every other single parent family who try their best for their children which I can remind you probably make more than half the community numbers you are advocating to cater for

Fantastic company
Fantastic company, have been attending sessions in Beverley with Coach Rob and since COVID-19 the free live sessions via Facebook. It’s clear Rugby Tots are passionate about the job they do, the sessions aren’t repetitive like some others we’ve went too, they are exciting, engaging and teach valuable lessons like team building and listening skills.
