I joined under the 7 day free trial

I joined under the 7 day free trial, cancelled that very day and I have still been charged. I think its disgusting that you have done that. How can you charge someone for a free trial. I would like that money put back into my account.

I needed customer service

I needed customer service - and an immediate account correction. I had no hope for either an email address or a human response. I got all three within 24 hours AND complete resolution. I am a 'forever' fan and member now

Cancelled subscription still got billed no refund frm WP

Cancelled subscription, got email from them acknowledging cancellation. They continued to then bill my Amex card. I did not notice for many months. Contacted Worthpoint, they said too bad they would not refund as it had been over 90 days. After contacting Amex and sending proof of cancellation, Amex only partially refunded some months. Many would call that fraud!

There is no way to cancel a trial…

There is no way to cancel a trial subscription. Worthpoint's FAQ stated there is a cancel button on the SUBSCRIPTION SETTINGS box, but there is no such button or drop down list. I emailed to cancel my subscription the same day I signed up for a trial subscription. I also contacted PayPal to stop any future payment to Worthpoint. I assumed (my bad) that a trial subscription would provide all the services offered on a paid subscription, but on my first attempt discovered that the research I would be doing is only available for a full paid subscription. What is the point of a trial subscription if there is no way to try the services? This is an obvious bait and switch scam and I will be sharing my findings with my followers.

Poor Website - Great Support - Goofy Trial

UPDATE! I called the support number and spoke to a very informed representative. She explained that they never got my billing info. And I only have an account I can log in with. Now she answered the phone almost immediately and ensured me that they would not slip me into a paid account without my OK. So what is the problem? Perception: The website doesn't send out an email confirmation. Or It only sends out an email 5 hours later. This leaves you wondering ift you made an account or not. It also imposes a username instead of using your email address. So if you close the tab or page without taking on the Username info or Remembering the password you used, when you return you're out of luck. No email conf. You just gave payment info. You don't know your username or password. Perception: They are a rip-off, this does not work like all the other sites I use. Something is wrong. Truth: The company is probably good, I know the support is excellent, but the web developers are dropping the ball. The developers are have made this site in a way that induces uncertainty and fear. They need to fix up the site. Just Now - Customer Support Saved this Company! XXXXXXXXXXX Old Review XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Bad offering a trial and then not allowing the user to cancel until the free trial is over. Therefore making the trial not free. They don't give you prices until you actually pay $23 or something after the trial ends - I used PayPal and I will take it to PayPal and refuse payment. The instructions are invalid. This is a scam. Do not give them any of your info. What makes me mad is the time I have to waste playing a game with such a silly website. I am a valuable asset to any operation I undertake and I feel they should pay me for my time. $125 should cover it. How to Cancel my Account Answer Go to (a web address) Sign in to your account using your user name and password. Select "My Worthpoint" (top right-hand side of the page). Select My Account. Select Subscription Settings (left hand side of the page), scroll down, and the red cancel button is at the bottom of the page. !!! There is no Red Cancel Button!!! What do you bet the button shows up after they take your money? So they have an email and a phone number, but I don't have time to play this stupid game and then watch to see if the elect to release me from this scam. If you have difficulties, please contact us at support at worthpoint.com or call 1.877.481.5750. XXXXXXXXXX Old Review XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

There's No Fool Like An Old Fool

I have been a collector of vintage watches for more than 50 years. My sales are made through a certain online auction platform where I sell some 300 watches per annum. One evening I decided to try Worthpoint and foolishly agreed to pay following a trial via one of my email addresses. I am User516095796. Trying to obtain prices for vintage watches was useless. Why? Because details of anything that had been sold off eBay was about 6 years old on average, when and where there was information. My own sales did not appear to show up. I am also a founder member of Europe's largest vintage watch forum and I feel obligated to ask members if they have had any Worthpoint experiences. As my wife said to me: "Dear, there is no fool like an old fool and this shows you to be bigger than most." I don't often agree with her, however in this case she is correct a thousand fold! Unless you are looking up the prices of Mickey Mouse watches or some Swatch or other, steer clear and don't agree to anything that might result in parting with money.

Incomplete Database, Not Worth It

At this point, there are better ways to research art, antiques, and collectibles. There is no silver category when researching maker marks. Is it all under "metals?" I buy and sell a lot from auctions and ebay and my purchases and sales do not show up. Why not? The sold prices that come up for various piece are way below what I know I either paid or sold something for so there is just a big gap in the database. Lame.

Worth Every Penny!

I have two subscriptions to Worthpoint. One is for me and one is for one of my employees. We use it daily and it’s one of our top “go-to” sites for correct pricing. It’s worth every penny to know the value of items you are selling and buying.

They Stole My Money

I joined with their free trial and did not deem the service to be worth $23 / month. I attempted to cancel online on the last day of my "trial," but their site was acting strangely. After repeated attempts to figure out how to cancel, I was ultimately able to reach the account page and click a cancel link. At that point, I believe the cursor began to spin as if loading something for quite a while, and I was ultimately taken to a regular page, where I naively assumed the operation had been successful. Now, a year later, I am going over my annual credit card statement and noticed they have been diligently billing me every month for the service that I had, to the best of my knowledge, canceled. They now tell me that without "timestamped proof" of some kind that I canceled the account, they will not reimburse me despite seeing that I have never logged in once since that date. They are crooks. I intend to sue them for small claims in the amount they stole because of their inability to maintain a functioning website. UPDATE: Regarding their "response," as you can plainly see, they do not deny the fact that I attempted to cancel, that I was under the impression I had canceled, that I never used their service once in the YEAR+ that they repeatedly charged me (with no indication I was being charged), yet they consider it adequate to provide a "complimentary" one MONTH refund. You stole my money for over a year, lady. Sorry, returning less than 10% of the money you stole from me is not an adequate "resolution." Now you can expect to owe not only what you stole, but more. Look forward to hearing from my attorney. Believe me, everyone reading this understands what your scam is. No one is fooled.
