Extremely Disappointing Service and Unprofessional Conduct

I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience with SMAS. We reached out to inquire about the renewal pricing for our accreditation, only to find that the costs had increased dramatically for what is essentially a basic administrative service that offers minimal benefit to our business. When I raised concerns about the pricing, the advisor I spoke with was unhelpful and dismissive. I even mentioned that CHAS was a cheaper alternative, but was told we had no choice but to renew with SMAS. What was even more frustrating—and downright unprofessional—was that after our call, the advisor went ahead and contacted our main contractor to inform them that we were refusing to renew our accreditation, despite the fact that we still have more than two months remaining on our current certification. This was completely unnecessary and seems to have been done with the intention of causing disruption between our company and our contractor. We are still under contract with SMAS, so the advisor's actions seemed entirely motivated by spite and were both unhelpful and underhanded. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company.

Easy to use portal and helpful service

As a safety advisor to over 50 companies, I complete many applications for SMAS, CHAS, CQMS, Constructionline, SafeContractor and others. I completed a SMAS application today in about an hour which would be impossible with any of the other providers. The accreditation was urgent for my client so I called SMAS and spoke to a real and helpful person (My new friend Dan). SSiP accreditation is important and need not be complicated. SMAS at present have the easiest SSiP application process and the most helpful staff by far. If you can choose your SSiP provider, choose SMAS.

By comparison, SMAS make the task of completing all the SSiP application processes THE most straightforward and easy to comprehend. The ability to actually talk to someone directly is very reassuring, the quick turnaround makes it a completely stress free experience.

Great service

Great service. Easy to understand and always help there if you need it. I was under a bit a pressure to get the certificates to customers and they really helped me to push it through. Thanks SMAS!
