A fantastic service which helped me every step of the way with realising my dream to be a published author. Extremely helpful with any questions or difficulties I encountered, making the whole process as smooth as possible. All freelancers I worked with were incredibly professional and I will definitely be using the service again for my next project.

I appreciated working with professionals who took constructive criticism and made the required revisions. Feedback was timely incorporated, and all work was performed on schedule. That was extremely important to me. Customer Service was great and answered all questions promptly and with the required details. I will certainly chose Urban Writers again.

DISCLAIMER: This is the first time I'm using the service, so I am not 100% sure that everything that went wrong was their fault. First, I paid for a "premium" writer and I don't feel the level of writing was really particularly premium. Then, the first writer chosen kept extending and extending and not producing. TUW was good as far as allowing me to pick another writer (who was really good and worked well with me), but many weeks of production were lost. Upon completion, the plagiarism report was good. Then, the first editor was atrocious. No exaggeration. Some of the changes were worse than the minor grammatical errors they were supposed to be correcting. I insisted on another editor, again TUW allowed a change. The new editor did a good job... but when the completed project was ready for download, it was the incorrect, previously edited version! Unfortunately, you cannot see the completed product until you download it... and once you download it, communication in your project platform is shut off, and the dialogue is over. I needed to search the website to find the original editor, and try to find an email address for help. Eventually, an admin was able to upload the correct edited version for me. In conclusion, I did receive the final product I paid for, but there were bumps in the road at each phase. The admins are easy to work with to get problems fixed, but the project dashboard system is a little wonky and could be streamlined a bit. Finally, I believe the writing abilities of the ghostwriters and editors are not commensurate with the price paid for the service.

The entire process of hiring a writer was smooth. Interaction with them was important before hiring. Every applicant was professional and friendly. And the final writer was phenomenal. Exceeded my expectations. Admin is always available to answer questions. This is my second time using TUW and I will use them for every time in the future. EDIT: After spending many more hours using the platform, it is a nuisance. It is usable but becomes frustrating.

I had a smooth experience from start to finish. I’m very happy with the end result. The book I received exceeded my expectations.

Whilst I like the concept of The Urban Writers as a one stop shop for ghost writing, editing, formatting and book designers, and I had a mostly good experience with the actual people (ie; the ghost writers, designers, formatter etc,) the platform itself has a lack of clear, useful or findable information on the actual timing, flow or requirements of processes, unknown time cut-offs, and other random unforseen requirements. Communication was cut off once a contractor submits something, other things are under time restrictions which make it difficult if you are working with people on opposite timezones around the world. I watched the videos but they are really insufficient to give a clear understanding of how the system and it's internal processes and timeframes work. Buttons disappeared during certain key processes so I needed to go onto a chat to request instructions on how I was suppossed to do things I needed to do as a paying customer. None of it was obvious or intuitive, the platform needs a good overhaul by someone with a better understanding of customer experience and instructions. I was more than a little underwhelmed by the whole experience and ended up very frustrated with the platform itself. I took the risk and made a substantial investment in this platform, but I am now questioning the value for money for my future ghostwriting projects. It's a shame because it is quite a good concept, just needs to be a lot more user friendly.
