I had been looking for a replacement for a much loved knife that was accidentally thrown out and was very happy to find such a great selection of kitchen knives on this site. Bought a set of global knives and a chopping board from this company. The chopping board was damaged and had to be replaced, (although they had to contact the manufacturer before agreeing to replace it). I had to chase it several times before receiving the replacement. Then one of the knives snapped in half when dropped on the floor, clearly a manufacturing fault. I rang them stating that the knife was of poor quality and they informed me that I should take it up with the manufacturer. When I informed them that my contract was with them and not the manufacturer they were very rude and dismissive. After several calls and emails back and forth they would still not do anything about it stating that the knife was not meant to be dropped on the floor and therefore not covered under the guarantee. Trying to explain that it wasn’t of good quality which is a right under the Consumer Rights Act fell on deaf ears. In frustration I contacted the manufacturer who said that I could return the knife to them at my cost and they would examine it to see if I could buy a replacement if the knife was faulty for £18 whilst also stating that if it had been dropped on the floor it could not be replaced. WHAT A JOKE. So I send them £18 for what? To be told I shouldn’t have dropped it on the floor! Looks like a credit card reclaim is the only way forward.

Purchased a 25" Chefs knife for sons Xmas , he is delighted as am I at a great service and a fantastic Knife , its as sharp as a razor blade , never seen anything cut a tomato in half before by dropping it on the blade from just a few inches , I will certainly add to this make with a smaller utility in near future .
