Big mistake - don't use them.

Medway have reminded me again that I have not left a review. This was intentional but since they insist... This was possibly the worst experience of my life. We sold my Mother's property by the modern method of auction using "Iamsold". To take advantage of their "integrated and streamlined" service we used Medway Law. I fully understand that, as we were selling with a power of attorney, we are required to provide significant proof of our identity and of my Mother's, we were fully prepared to do so. However ,we seemed to get the jobsworth, working from home with apparently no oversight. He seemed to have no real idea what he was doing. We were in the middle of a national lockdown but he insisted repeatedly (always at the last minute) that we provide him with originals of documents that were held by third parties a, every time he "could not proceed further without them" but never asked in advance of needing them. We often asked him what else he needed so we would have it ready for him when he needed it. His response was "nothing at the moment". We reached a stalemate where he insisted on receiving medical reports that we simply didn't have and couldn't get. To add insult to injury all the documents we sent were posted to my Mother's empty house 50 miles from me. This despite repeated reminders of my address. He refused to give me his manager's number or e-mail address until the point I said we were just going to have to withdraw from the sale. Once that happened his manager was involved and the options I had suggested (and which he had rejected) suddenly became acceptable. After he left the company we received totally different service but I honestly can't recommend them to anyone. It could easily have cost us the sale. I know that circumstances with Covid are unique and that companies have had to set up and modify processes as they worked. That's why I didn't leave a review but they kept messaging me to do so. Hopefully this will end a horrible experience and they will leave me alone now.

Well You asked after I've kept ignoring…

Well You asked after I've kept ignoring you. Very poor, lack of communication constant miss requesting of information from the the representative To the point where we were asked for produce proof of identity for my mother, document required birth certificate. Didn't understand that as that was her maiden name, we did question it but that was hwhat we had to produce. HMMMMM!

Extremely satisfied customers

Louise at Team Yabsley (Medway Law) did an outstanding job on the legal side of selling our Leasehold property. This involved dealing with several different parties including the Freeholder. This was at times a complex and difficult sale which she handled superbly. Thank you Louise - we would not have got through this without your expertise, patience and dedication. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Louise and her team. Reference S613/9625/

Awful to deal with

Awful to deal with. Couldn't seem to understand i was in a chain. Communication not brilliant. Left things so long at the end that the seller nearly sued me for breach of contract. Wouldnt use again Further to your reply......I phoned medway numerous times at the start of the process asking if they could deal with the sale of one house and the purchase of the new house, so keeping everything within 1 firm. Despite leaving messages and speaking to various people with promises of calling back no one ever did, leaving me with no option but to instruct a second firm to deal with the purchase of the new house. Yes there was a delay at the start due to the buyer changing solicitors. This took from 28th Aug to the 3rd Oct to sort out. I was contacted and told of the delay after 4wks, up untill then I assumed everything was proceeding as planned. My other complaint is at the end of the process there was a delay in sending funds to the solicitors dealing with the purchase of the new property, my house sold and completed by 11am, yet at 3pm I recieved a call from the sellers solicitor to warn me that the sellers were going to sue me for breach of contract due to the delay. They had been told consistently throughout the day that the funds had been sent, yet when I phoned at 3.15pm to enquire what was going on I was told they hadn't been sent yet as only 1 person was working that day who was able to send funds. I had no issue about the actual completion date
