Everything was amazing since the begging till the end. They picked me up in my hotel and Diana, a lovely girl, was with me the whole time, since the moment I reached the clinic till I left. She explained everything, was with me during the surgery checking on me, even after the surgery she gave me lunch, all the medications. This is a really high level experience that I definitely recommend. Lovely team, careful people and I have the feeling that I was not just “one more client”. Thanks everyone, specially Diana, for amazing treatment.

The operation went very good

The operation went very good, the staff and everyone was so kind and helpful. Everything explained in details. The procedure was quiet and no pain at all, also the tranlsator was helpful and there for everything (Robert) very nice guy.

The clinical team was really friendly and professional.

The clinical team was really professional, and was ready to assist at any moment I had any questions. Everything was explained clearly and although the operations itself takes a long time it doesn’t feel like it. Great facilities too! The interpreter Mr Robert Alaoty was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Thank you!

Not what you were being promised

I just had my hair transplant on 12th February 2022 via Dr Serkan clinic (I say via, you'll understand why in my comment). I will try to explain this experience in detail as it made me feel uneasy several times when it's already a stressful idea to go abroad for such surgery: - pre travel arrangements went fine. - when I landed in Istanbul, it took 40 minutes for the transfer to be organized by the clinic. It didn't really look like a private transfer. One of the organiser (a bit dodgy) showed me his phone with words in French to try to sell me expensive simcard. That was a first orange flag. - I arrived at the hotel (Nova Plaza Pera) and the room is spacious, not super clean / it is not a 4 stars hotel according to European standards but I was quite expecting that so no big issue except I could hear everything of what my neighbors said or did... - I was scheduled for consultation on the day after my arrival and the intervention two days after my arrival. I learned through WhatsApp during the evening of my arrival that the consultation + the intervention would happen the day after. I had to cancel plans I made to visit the city. - day 2: the transfer to the clinic is organized (with 3 other persons in the cab during covid times). First impression at the clinic: I'm reassured, "it exists, I'm there and they look professional". Then I had to wait at least for 45 minutes in the clinic for the consultation with Dr Serkan. Nice guy, it lasted 1 minute and 30 second max. I didn't like the line and said it looked too straight and he then drew sth on the side and left (not on the straight line) - it was time for me to pay with the agent. The machine didn't work so I had to wait for 15 minutes. The price mentioned during my exchange with the company was 2400€. Initially, they told me an additional charge of 3% would be added if i used credit card (which I preferred). When I tried to pay via Amex, the agent told me there would be a 5% charge since it's an Amex (this is mentioned nowhere in the documentation nor my exchanges with the company, it only states 3% with credit card and Amex is... A credit card). I refused and said it was not what was agreed upon, she then told me that they would do 3% but in turkish currency since it was the only option with Amex (which is by the way total fabrication because I could pay everything else with it during my stay). I agreed reluctantly (as we were not even in a room to discuss "because it was too busy" and paid in a corridor). I paid an amount in their local currency to avoid the 2% additional charge that were not due. I checked the ticket when the agents were away and I noticed they charged me 5% and not the 3% in local currency! I proceed to complain and the agent made it really difficult to admit their fault when anyone knowing anything about law or commercial instinct would have reimbursed directly their mistake. After several calls between the agent and her superior they finally agreed to pay me 50 euros back in cash (which is not enough because I'm still being overcharged: Amex will charge me currency conversion rate when the initial deal was to pay 2400€ in euros +3%). Second orange flag - then this fact troubled me a lot: even though I went through all the process on their website and with their agents (dr serkan aygin), i was sent to a public hospital for the intervention with two other patients because they are overbooked! When I opted in for dr serkan aygin I was opting for a private clinic, not a university hospital with students all around. Forget the fancyness, you are in corridors and rooms without natural lights, the atmosphere is cold and you eat hospital food. The feeling of the place was not right, the staff was nice though (even after again a long wait) - consultation and operation were scheduled at 11am. I was taken at 3pm for the surgery... - I had 4100 graffs foreseen for my surgery and it lasted for +/- 5 hours. Another guest at the same hotel had his surgery at the Dr Serkan clinic for half of my graphs (2200, sth like that) and it lasted 7 hours. It makes me think that either the work on me has been rushed or the amount of graffs promised is not there. My forehead has also been injured during the procedure (not in the implementation area). - cherry on the cake, the cab was 30 minutes late for my transfer from the hotel to the airport (be careful, Istanbul airport is huge and it takes some time to get to the gate 😁) If I had been told i would have been sent to a university hospital, i would never have chosen this company. I felt cheated a lot of times during this fews days. But I want to say that the staff at the hospital and the hotel were nice and most of the translators were also nice and helpful. The operation went more or less ok I think. Let's wait for the results now.

Heb net een haartransplantatie gehad…

Heb net een haartransplantatie gehad bij deze kliniek. Ik wil eerst graag zeggen dat je hier als een koning behandeld word. Zeer net hotel inclusief, vervoer naar de kliniek in luxe voertuigen. De operatie was goed te doen. Niet pijnloos, maar vergelijk het met tatoeëren, of naar de tandarts gaan. Goed te doen. Telkens een Engelse tolk aanwezig, ze doen er alles aan om je op je gemak te laten voelen. Een aanrader!

Dr Serkan Aygin has been brilliant for…

Dr Serkan Aygin has been brilliant for me. Highly recommended to everyone looking at hair transplant. Talking to Elif on WhatsApp before she organised everything. When arriving all staff do everything they can for you. Surgery again very good, zero pain, explained everything before on what your donor area grafts can do for my hair. I had no hair down the middle and I've been twice and my results are amazing, people don't know I've had a transplant it's so natural. Thanks Carl Pratt
