House damaged after heat pump installation

After shoddy heat pump installation Greener Energy Group has left my house significantly damaged. The heating never worked properly. After endless phone calls and sky high electricity bills they decided to send someone who confirmed the installation was incomplete and their complex thermostats were never installed correctly. The pipe work and heating system was installed in wrong place than agreed on the survey. After another set of numerous calls they agreed to put the heating system in agreed place. Another set of shoddy work and they left a new pipe work leaking. There was noise the whole night through the house that was left cold in severe winter. Internal walls and ceilings over two floors of my house, carpets and external walls are damaged. Their plumbers confirmed poor supply of materials. I have been pleading with them to get the damage sorted but they have washed their hands off as damage is due to ‘old pipe work’ and nothing to do with them. After remaining incommunicado for numerous phone calls and emails to their manager Chris Hird, finally a reply came from their marketing manager Shaun Woods that essentially suggests they are not going to set things right. I am being asked to do it through my home insurance and they will give a paltry contribution. I am hugely disappointed and frustrated with the unprofessional behaviour of Greener Energy Group. They are a disgrace and poor form of an home energy product company. I am left as a helpless customer. Please avoid this company to save yourself agony.

Solar PV installation and aftersales service

I had a solar PV, with battery back up installed by Greener Energy Group in July 2022. The installation was carried out professionally, and quite quickly after I agreed to their quote. The system has had a few issues with the battery, which stopped charging altogether in early December 2022, between Greener Energy Group, and the battery supplier, Pure Drive, they did manage to get the battery back online, but there are still some issues to be resolved with the battery performance, which Pure Drive are aware of. Unfortunately on the 6th March 2023, the inverter for my solar PV system shutdown, and at the time of writing this, it has been down now for 16 days. I informed Greener Energy Group that same day of the issue, and they sent and electrician out to look at it. He confirmed that the inverter has failed and would most likely need replaced. (This is also preventing Pure Drive from coming back to check the programming and performance of the battery, as it's controls and settings are accessed through the inverter display). Greener Energy have raised this as a warranty issue with Solis, the supplier of the inverter. But as mentioned, after 16 days, Solis have failed to respond in any meaningful way to offer a solution to the problem, only telling Greener Energy that if they remove the inverter without Solis 'investigating', that will invalidate the warranty. However, Solis have given no timescale, or even indication that they will investigate this issue. This has left Greener Energy Groups hands tied, and me with an expensive solar PV system that isn't operational, leaving me more frustrated due to the lack of answers, and no solar system to help during this period of high energy bills. The aftersales service from Solis in this matter has been terrible, (and I have left a fuller review for Solis), and while I have been frustrated with the lack of information from Greener Energy Group, (as they are the company I bought this system from), I understand that they are stuck with the lack of information from Solis. I had initially felt that it was Greener Energy Group that were not really pushing the matter, so I felt that their after sales service was at fault, but after a longer discussion with one of their directors, I was able to get a better understanding of what they are trying to do to resolve this matter, and that the blame for the delay lies with Solis. It is for this reason that I am happy to amend my review for Greener Energy Group, and divert my frustration to the inverter supplier.

Good install team poor office team

My whole experience with the Greener Energy Group has been mixed. Initially when we got our visit and quote was fine the whole process including getting the government loan was explained fully and the rep was pleasant and didn’t press with a hard sale tactic. Whilst thinking about whither we wanted to go ahead with the solar panels I was kept updated on possible price changes. After this I decided to go ahead and get the solar panels with battery storage. I was passed to the team who helped with the government loan application and this was done over the phone with me filling out the application on the internet. I found the person quite rude at times as I struggled to find information the I had been sent from home Energy Scotland (loan application stuff). After this I was relentless pestered from their team asking me about updates on the loan application. (For information and nothing to do with the greener energy group the loan application process is quite lengthy) once I was informed my loan application was approved I informed the greener energy group of this and informed them as soon as I had the funds I would be in touch, however continued to be pestered with phone calls asking if I had the funds yet. Once the funds were received I contacted the greener energy group and was passed to their install team. I later received a call from one of the install team reps who informed me they had forgot to include the price of a scaffold in my quote and it would be an additional £1200 for the scaffold as I was getting the panels on both sides of my roof, however they stated they would foot half the cost and wanted £600 from me. I refused to pay this and they said they’d be in touch to let me know if they could do something. They later contacted me saying they wouldn’t do a scaffold at the rear as the roof team would build a mobile scaffold when they were here (used a ladder) I was given an install date pretty quick and 1 week later the install team arrived to carry out the work. The team had 2 electricians and a roof fitting team. They were pleasant knowledgeable, tidy and considerate to my property. They carried out from what I can see a near and tidy job, cleaned up after they were done and then fully explained what they had done and what everything was for. Overall not impressed by the office team but the install team that attended my home were great

Your team turned up

Your team turned up, and installed my panels and battery etc. in quick time (despite the rain!). No mess little fuss ( apart from our 2 playful Staffies demanding attention!) and explained how everything worked. A top job

Air pump heating Scotland I've had an air pump heating system…

I've had an air pump heating system fitted in my home together with solar panels and battery . Both systems were installed two years ago with excellent work teams and considering the amount of work that was carried out my home was kept tidy. Both systems have worked even better than I expected keeping the house warm and cozy and plenty of hot water at all times. Well done Greener Energy especially during the cold winter months of Scotland. Many thanks

First class service

First class service, unbelievably patient and helpful for someone like myself who is very much computer ignorant. On my own I probably would have had many problems in making the application

Professional, friendly and helpful.

Thomas the advisor was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. This is a complex process in my opinion applying for funding and Greener Energy Group assistance is invaluable. Follow up contact is also provided.
