DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR AMBASSADOR SPA AND POOLS they are the same company! They completely ignore their returns policy and the consumer rights act. £5000 WORTH OF FAULTY HOT TUB!! They are now completely ignoring us. Good luck if you do buy from these jokers.

Good prices, timely delivery, average quality and poor service
I bought my pool cover a little over a year ago and I was pretty happy with the speed of delivery and had no problems setting it up....but a few issues have become evident over the course of time. 1) the 'woggle' based leading edge supplied really isn't fit for purpose for a broad pool cover (16ft) - I replaced the woggles with a rigid boom after a couple of weeks 2) the number of attachment points for the tow rope to leading edge are insufficient for a cover of this size especially in combination with the woggle floats as it puts too great a tension on individual points along the leading edge of the cover leading to tearing 3) because there is so much flexibility in the leading edge system supplied, creases quickly formed in the material that have begun to show considerable wear. I suspect that the leading edge will fail completely within a couple of years 4) the number of attachment points for the leading edge to the cover are insufficient for a cover of this size - one tore out within a couple of months and I've had to double up the fixings with push-through studs 5) the central seam on the cover appears to have failed. I would estimate that around 30% of the length of the seam has failed I wasn't too bothered about the first few items (though it's annoying to have a ripped cover already after just a few months of use) but the 5th is going to become a significant issue over time and at the very least is a quality issue that I think they should address. All efforts to contact customer services have been ignored.

It is such a shame that their customer service is sadly lacking, and telephone calls remain unanswered. However, if you are willing to deal with them, their prices are the cheapest around. I wanted some pipe parts and was concerned that the prices they were charging would mean a low quality. I needn't have worried. They were outstanding quality and sent very quickly. Avoid this company
Avoid this company. Ordered some pipework fittings and PVC cement on Friday for next day delivery. Needless to say goods failed to arrive on Saturday, they arrived on Monday. After opening the package there was no cement, how do you glue pipe with no cement. Called 1st pools to be told they are very busy, no apology, nothing. Girl did not appreciate my frustration of being unable to complete my job. Obviously they cannot count 5 items in a bag. Complete waste of time. Now waiting for a refund.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST. I ordered a new solar heat cover which arrived with the leading edge located on the top of cover. After questioning why it was positioned there the reply from 1st Direct was that's where they always go. When we removed the leading edge to refit on the water side we found 2 knife cuts of 3" and 5" hiding under where the leading edge had been positioned. They had covered over the damage before dispatching too me! The customer service dept has deemed this problem so insignificant that after leaving 3 messages I am still awaiting a call My next email is to Trading Standards today.
