No transparency

I ordered my bike on July 10th (£512). The ETA was "End of August", which I considered acceptable, so I pressed ahead. Towards the end of August (23rd or so) I dropped Mango a friendly little note on live chat wondering if they would be able to provide me with an update on when my bike would arrive. This did not receive a response (and was genuinely friendly). A few days later I received an email from them saying that my bike would be delayed for another 4 weeks. I responded saying that the delay would cost me £200 in public transport, and their offering of a light set was not sufficient with that as context. This was again ignored-and this was about 4 days before I was supposed to receive my bike. I asked for my order to be cancelled. Ignored. Essentially Mango Bikes have taken half a thousand pounds from me, ignored my emails, have no intention of refunding me even though they hadn't started building my bike. Avoid at all costs- I would never usually encourage a boycott of a small business, but their customer service has been shocking and they have essentially robbed me; I no longer want their product, I haven't recieved their product, and they refuse to even acknowledge that I have requested my order to be cancelled and my funds returned. Absolutely despicable behaviour. *Edited from 1* to 2* as they have now refunded (most of) my money

Shaky start but great service in the end!

Some communication issues so can't give a full 5 stars but my stock bike arrived quickly and in great condition today and once highlighted, any issues I had were looked into and dealt with promptly! Appreciate it has been an extremely busy time for many bike retailers too!

Bad experience.

Bad experience. I made an order in first week of August for custom a built bike costing over £400, I expected it to arrive in 4 weeks, I contacted them on livechat for an expected arrival date, but did not hear back for a over week, I was told the warehouse is empty so will not have my bike until sometime in late September. I started to get worried after reading bad reviews on the quality of products and services so decided to call them to ask a bit more info about the bike, unfortunately the calls are left unanswered so I left a message on the answer machine, I also emailed them, but no response, I then decided it was best to contact them on livechat and ask for a refund, but a week later I still had no reply. I had no faith in this company to refund me as they took a large sum of money without actually having a pysical product to sell, so contacted my bank and used the Chargeback scheme for a refund.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. If I could give minus stars I would. They're essentially scamming people by selling bikes that don't exist. They don't have any stock but are still selling bikes. I was kept waiting for three months with very little communication after sending them £390. They just ignore any contact you try to have with them. I tried to cancel my order after three months and it took them forever to process the cancellation. In the time it took for them to do it, I ordered a bike from another company, it arrived, I built it and cycled 100 miles on it. Then they charged me £5 for a processing fee. Don't believe them when they say "it's a tough time for the bike industry and we're doing our best". That's nonsense. They tried to take advantage of the situation by selling bikes which don't exist and are now in over their heads. It's entirely they're own fault that they're struggling. On top of that they're snakes. Never go near them.

Mango Single speed - never again.

Hi folks, for the record, those of you who ordered a Mango bike and haven't yet received it - you've had a lucky escape. Take my advice and avoid. I've had a single speed Mango for about two years and it's hands-down the worst bike I've ever ridden - clunky and heavy with cheap components. It's a bit like riding a piano to work every day. I guess it's partly my fault for buying online. If you want a bike that you're going to love, you've got to be able to test ride it. Lesson learnt. :-)

If I could give 0 stars I Would

If I could give 0 stars, I would. It’s soon going to get to the point where someone needs to take legal action with this company, I ordered my bike 2 months ago when my bike was meaning to arrive before September. I am aware some people have had a much WORSE experience than myself but still this lack of service is absolutely atrocious. DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM THIS COMPANY, unless you want to have half a bike arrive half a year later of course.

Terrible

Ordered bike on jun 1st. I was told because of covid they would be delayed making my bike and was told it would be dispatched mid july. They then sent an email saying it would take a further 3 weeks. This time passed and no bike. I emailed a few times and only got an automated response. I then called several times and only got through to an answering machine. Luckily I paid through PayPal so have filed for a refund.

DO NOT BUY FROM MANGO

DO NOT BUY FROM MANGO. I Ordered back in June, and it said my bike would be delivered by the end of July. Given covid, I thought this was reasonable. End of July passed and nothing arrived, still no updates at all. I try emailing, messaging on social media, ringing them to see where my order was; I heard nothing. I had to open a PayPal case towards the end of August to get a full refund as I literally had no choice. I emailed them asking for a refund and got no reply. No apology through PayPal either. Luckily I got my money back, but I definitely won't be recommending them to anybody. Customer service should be a bare minimum for any company. Ignoring customers is unacceptable.

Bike shipped with faulty crank arms and…

Bike shipped with faulty crank arms and pedals. Destroyed themselves within a few weeks. Tried to contact the company for 2 months with no reply via phone, email and social media. Only once I threatened to bring a small claims action did they bother replying. Took another month to send the first package, which was actually shorter arms to the ones that came with my bike. Eventually failed to send pedals with this pack. Had to wait abother week. Took to bike store to get repaired and mechanic notified me the quality of the replacement parts were so poor they have anticipated id need a replacement within the month and offered to order and replace for me for free as they felt bad for me. Poor customer service and sub par quality, blanketed by the excuse of covid. I encourage you to look at their twitter and other reviews before even considering buying.

Bike stolen/lost by courier they used.

After waiting patiently for 3 months, my bike then gets stolen/lost by the courier they decided to use. The courier service XDP has awful reviews - why choose a crap company to ship your products. Absolutely gutted - no reply from them regarding this.
