As always the team and equipment at Stiebel Eltron continues to delivery the highest qulaity equipment and service levels which are key for our installation company to depend on time after time.
Very good technical support and warranty cover
Very good support from Alister, the service manager covering this part of Scotland. There was a problem with our ground source heat pump, dealt with under warranty. The part that appears to have been at fault has been quickly replaced and if it turns out to be a different part, he has a plan to sort it. He also gave lots of good advice on optimising the system. A good and confidence-inspiring experience all round.

Beware of "Stiebel Eltron"…
Beware of "Stiebel Eltron" instantaneous water heaters. In 2017 we had an electronic Stiebel Eltron DHE Touch with item number: 234459 delivered and installed by the installer for 1,000 euros. Now it's Feb. 2023, the water heater is gone. From one day to the next there was no more hot water. total failure. When we asked Stiebel Eltron in Holzminden, we were told: NO KULANZ. The installer told us that these electronic instantaneous water heaters have highly sensitive electronics. As in our case, the motherboard is gone. The repair and installation would be as expensive as a new instantaneous water heater. This can not be. The smallest voltage differences in the power supply can destroy the circuit board, since the instantaneous water heater is constantly connected to the power supply, even when it is not in operation. The old hydraulic instantaneous water heater had been in use for 25 years and was still working. If you convert that, if you are lucky and the Stiebel Eltron lasts 5 years, you would have to put aside 200 euros a year for the instantaneous water heater. I can and will only advise all operators and users: Stay away from Stiebel Eltron instantaneous water heaters.

Dishonest marketing and hide key information
Purchased a high spec instant water heater to use for a shower. After commissioning it, it didn't make the water hot. Luke warm on Maximum settings. Contacted Stiebel-eltron for help. Only then did they advise that the device needs a water flow rate below 5 litres per minute to get water above 40 degrees. I'm not even seeing that though. Also, they have advised that the cold water infeed needs to be above 10 degrees. Good luck seeing that in a British winter. None of this key information is available on their Web site or the product technical information. I've spoke to the company but they don't care as they say the product does heat water under the right conditions. So I have the option of cold showers or a warm trickle for a water heater that cost £379. A dishonest marketing led company who sell low spec products dishonestly. Never again and I'd recommend you look elsewhere.
