Top top service by Asgard

I rarely leave company reviews, but my experience with Asgard was spot on and needed to be shared. From purchase to after-sale customer service, Asgard have been amazing. I love the quality of the shed and the grey colour looks really nice in my garden. Asgard kept us fully and clearly informed regarding delivery, which was several weeks. The sales team were quick and responsive at dealing with a payment query that i raised after purchase. I have and will recommend this company to all my friends and family. Thankyou Asgard. A very happy customer.

Great build quality, easy to install.

Really pleased with the shed (the Access). Delivered on Monday and is great quality and went together well following the simple instructions. It was worth the wait (long leadtime from delivery, but everyone is having supply chain issues). Looks great and so far does the job nicely!

Sheds not suitable for bikes or metal objects due to condensation issues

I purchased the Secure Bike Shed x 6 on 6th December 2021. It was delivered on three months later and installed by Asgard with a missing part. I had to chase multiple times for this to be resolved two months later. The core issue is that a shed billed a secure storage for bikes has so much condensation that it drips all over the bikes it is meant to protect. I've had to put a tarpaulin inside the shed to try to keep the water off the bikes - but the volume of water inside the sheds is such that I initially thought the roof was leaking. I do not understand how Asgard can sell this product for bikes or mechanical equipment without a fix to address its very obvious shortcomings. I can see that others here have had similar issues and that Asgard tends to respond with questions about the placement of the shed, bung holes and even whether an order was placed or not. For the avoidance of doubt, my order number was 100452689 and the cost of the shed with the extras was £1,631.00. It was installed by Asgard itself so I presume the fitters were aware of any issues in terms of placement or bung holes. I am listing the "date of experience as today" as the shed is full of water again this morning. I placed my honest review onto the Asgard website last week. Tellingly, it has not appeared there. The only ones I can read are entirely positive reviews. That seems very troubling to me. I had presumed that the company might contact me about this, but there has been nothing. Given the amount of time it took to obtain the missing part for the shed, I am unsurprised by this. I am now looking into whether there is a way to create a wooden shed within the Asgard shed in order to keep water off my bike. So in a nutshell, this was a very expensive item that is not fit for purpose. I would not buy anything from this company again - until they address their major design shortcomings - and I would advise anyone considering getting one of these for their bikes not to underestimate the condensation issues.

Good experience, and Happy customer

Received my bike store today, (many thanks to Steve, the delivery guy, legend!) and it is exactly as described. It went together without any issues, all holes aligned and panel dimensions were perfect. Nothing more to say tbh, I would recommend and buy again, so they have my approval.

First class product and Job.

The team from Asgard were extremely punctual they were polite and friendly. The storage shed was erected swiftly and is extremely sound and secure. The materials are first class and the additional storage hooks inside are an added bonus. There is plenty of space inside to store all my gardening products. The excellent locking system makes it a secure unit that will last for years. Safe, secure and weatherproof would highly recommend this product!

I now have two asgards

I now have two asgards. They arrived when they said they would and the driver on both occasions was very helpful. With my second purchase (gladiator bike storage), the driver informed me that he thought there had been a slight mix up and some of the parts might be wrong. He was correct and asgard very promptly sent the wrong parts to me. The email and customer service was excellent, quick and efficient. (Even when UPS were crap). I highly recommend this company and the bike storage solutions they sell.

Shoddy junk at best

So yet again Asgard sheds decide to be economical with the truth, there was no appointment made and I never cancelled any either .My wife received a phone call while she was at work from an"engineer " informing her he was in the area and coming to look at the shed in the next hour we told him we knew nothing about this unfortunately we were both at work and given no notice of this to which he said ok I will tell the office, so it's another poor attempt at trying to make your shoddy company and workmanship look like your not in the wrong as I've said previously your sheds are at best poor substandard junk and your customer services is as bad Tri metal sheds have left you and your over priced junk behind including your £140 piece of OSB floor that selco sell for £30 delivered ...buyers beware spend your money elsewhere

Duff Shed

What a joke this company is. I ve had the shed 3 and half years with no problems until now. The doors keep sticking and I have to slam them to shut them properly. Emailed Agard and they came up with all the excuses under the sun! Tried telling me doors need realigning when the doors haven’t even moved! Aftercare is rubbish all they’re interested in is taking your money, I wouldn’t recommend Agard sheds to anyone!

Quality and design justifies the price.

An Asgard shed should be seen as an investment; the quality and sturdiness of construction (in my view) justifies the price. Having constructed a 100mm thick concrete base for my 'Gladiator' shed, I sat back to wait the approximate three month leadtime after delivery. Definitely worth the wait as upon delivery you can immediately understand why the shed carries the premium price tag. The shed was delivered by Asgard’s own vehicle and the driver was a credit to the company: polite, helpful and happy to offer advice on where best to place the parts (and in a suitable order for later assembly). It took about 40 minutes to unload the lorry. Assembly took about five hours with the aid of a friend – the size and weight of the separate sections/panels necessitating a two-person build. It’s a big, solid shed which should provide many years of hassle-free storage… no more painting/staining slowly rotting wooden shed panels; security and longevity is a major feature of this shed. I was missing one minor part in my delivery: a small c-shaped fixture, one of eighteen; no impact on construction. A short email to Asgard’s Customer Service team and a couple of spares were in the post and with me next day – excellent service. Overall, an excellent product which exceeded my expectations; top marks to the Customer Service team and the Asgard delivery driver.

Warped lid and poor customer service

We bought an Asgard 4-bike metal shed nearly 10 years ago, and for about 8–9 years it was OK – although the padlocks were always difficult to use. Then for no reason the lid became warped, so it could only be locked at one front corner (not two), so was insecure. I thought the store was guaranteed, as the '10 year guarantee' is all over the website and my order – but no, this applies only to corrosion and not to the shed itself falling apart! Asgard initially alleged the problem was due to poor installation, but as they had installed it they eventually came out and did a repair. But the same thing happened again 4 months later – the lid warped again, at which point the store was broken into and two bikes stolen. I alerted Asgard, who alleged we must have damaged the shed ourselves, and said that their sheds aren't meant to last more than 9 years anyway! We are left with having to have the shed repaired again, by Asgard, at our own expense. So I can't recommended this product to others. -------------------- Update in response to Asgard reply, 16/9/22 Dear Andy – many thanks for your helpful reply, and I will indeed get in touch with you to discuss this as you've kindly invited. However, for the sake of accuracy and for other potential purchasers, I'd like to correct some factual errors in your report. In the end, this shed has failed within the advertised 10-year guarantee period, resulting in thefts, and Asgard have denied responsibility. Specifically: • You say the base was 'clearly not level' – but when the shed was installed by Asgard in 2013 on a level concrete base, Asgard engineers said at the time the base was highly suitable – stable and level. They were quite happy with it and the installation. We haven't had any earthquakes as far as I'm aware, so why would 'movement' occur? The paving around the shed is still fine – level and intact. • When the engineers repaired the shed on site in February 2022 (7 months ago, not 9 months), they told me directly that the shed did not need re-levelling. Instead, they found the problem was indeed with the lid. • When Asgard attended site in Feb 2022, NO break-in had happened – although I was fearful one would happen in due course: rightly so, as it turns out. Asgard attended as I reported that the lid had warped so only one side would lock, so it was obviously insecure. • That repair was indeed done free of charge in Feb 22, but only after many, many emails – we were told initially we'd just have to buy a new lid and pay for this and installation costs. So the customer service attitude was poor. • However, I was satisfied with the repair then – but I am NOT satisfied that this repair has lasted just 6 months before the shed failed again. The shed again became lockable only on one side, and unfortunately a break-in has now occurred. • This time, I have been offered NO discounts or goodwill gestures of any kind towards a repair, so far as I am aware. We have been sent an invoice for £400 for parts and labour – quite a lot of money. (Is this discounted?) This lack of any helpful acknowledgment earlier, and now latterly, from Asgard regarding the problems we are facing with this shed is what made me feel it was necessary to write this review. There seemed no other way, unfortunately. Kind regards, Susan
