All round good experience from a local company

All round good experience, good product. I’m a local Yorkshire “lad” – Huddersfield - So it makes sense to buy local (Bradford). I have a communal area to leave my bike as I live in a flat. Security is important - after reading the reviews despite the odd late delivery some customers had experience – Asgard seemed the obvious choice. The delivery boys were great – good accent! And no nonsense workmanship. They had missed the silicone off the order, so one of them drove 5 miles to B+Q and bought some. Job done.

Very pleased

Hi Andy Just a 2nd opportunity to thank Asgard and in particular Tracey for the great service I have received. As I have already said - Tracey is a superstar - lots of patience dealing with someone like me who can;t make their mind up. Poor Tracey must have remeasured the sheds in your show room a dozen times for me. So a big extra special thanks to Tracey. When I ordered the shed no issues at all online lucky me ordered during a sale so I saved. Delivery was exactly as described exactly 3 weeks, I live on a one way street and as promised Asgard phoned ahead and turned up in a suitably small van - I had cleared a space outside of the house for delivery. They (a guy called Stuart?) dropped the panels exactly where I wanted them - which in my case is outside the front door in our yard. A cup of tea and a biscuit later and he was gone leaving lots of tips and advice. The shed took less than 2 hours with the IKEA style instructions . The shed looks really smart and more secure than our wooden one. Next door has already been around to take a look and I suspect will order one (probably a bigger one... shed envy and one up man ship) Here is my promised reccommendation “I would recommend Asgard sheds (and will do so) to the entire world – they are great”. thanks to all at Asgard – Kate.

Excellent shed, excellent service! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic product, ticks all the boxes! Shed was delivered promptly and fits perfectly in our garden, just the right size we were looking for. Can fit a couple of bikes and we also keep our lawnmower and and tools in there, and feel confident that that they are safe and secure overnight. Would recommend to friends and family and anyone thinking of getting one - definitely worth the price for a good quality shed and general peace of mind, as well as a great company to deal with. Looks good, perfect size and no one is getting into it!

Very poor experience of installation and subsequent customer service.

Very poor experience. Ordered a 29er bike shed and thought it worth paying for the installation service....... what a mistake! The delivery team (who also assemble the shed) arrived 45 minutes late and apparently had an accident with the lid damaging it. They assembled the shed using some incorrect metal pan head screws instead of the correct machine screws for the lock guards and took no care over protecting the painted panels which was leant against rough-cast walls. I complained to Asgard regarding the poor installation service and had to chase them up twice for a response. They finally concluded nearly a month later that they had learned valuable lessons for the delivery team and think they will not cause them anymore problems. They offered no compensation of any sort for my hassle or considerable inconvenience. Great for them! But very poor for me, the customer, who paid for a rubbish service. I could of assembled the shed properly myself without damaging anything. It is a shame because I like to support British companies but Asgard fall well short of an acceptable service and the follow-up customer service is just as poor. I would avoid this company until they improve.

Excellent product, problem-free ordering.

I ordered a two-bike shed from Asgard about a month ago. They appear to produce their sheds just-in-time, so it takes a while before you receive them. However, orders are confirmed promptly and an estimate of the week of delivery is provided with the order confirmation. In the week before delivery, a 2 hour slot is booked. My shed was delivered on time. I opted for self-assembly and found this quite easy. Everything apart from the tools are provided. The build quality of the sheds is superb. The metal is very thick and there are no sharp edges or corners. The sheds come with a very solid lock that locks the door on three points. The lock and handle are recessed into the door so that they are a considerable distance away from the door, making it harder for thieves to cut them with an angle grinder. Operation of the door and lock are very smooth. Inside the shed, there is ample space for two bicycles and some cycling gear as advertised.

Expensive but worth it in my opinion

Well, I’ve had a bike shed ( I think it’s called the Asgard Access Store but I use it for storing 4 bikes) for 3.5 years and an Asgard 5x7 Metal Garden shed for just under three years. The metal shed was a pain to put up but I can honestly say I can detect no difference now from the day that I did manage to put it together. I can’t understand the metal/condensation comments elsewhere – I have never seen any water inside either of my metal units and the finish is really as good as when I got it – there has been no deterioration whatsoever. The quality of the metal and the paintwork finish is really high and the units are both very secure. If a thief wanted to get into either enough I’m sure they could but I’m pretty sure I couldn’t get in even with a crowbar. The only issue I had was some rusting on the keyholes on the two padlocks that were supplied with the Access Store after about 12 months but Asgard sent a new set when my wife called up to complain. I’m now looking to replace my wooden shed that is falling apart with a large (10x12) shed and prices seem to range between £350-£1,500. The one that is 4x the price is the Asgard, unfortunately. Although I don’t really want to spend that much on the shed I will go for the Asgard. I can’t comment on other metal sheds and maybe I could find something similar for much less but I do believe you get what you pay for. I’m not looking forward to putting the thing together cos the panels weigh a ton but once it’s up I feel confident it’ll last a good many years.

Deceptive Review System and not a secure product

I purchased a Medium sized parcel drop box from the company - after weeks of waiting as mentioned in previous reviews it arrived. The lock mechanism is of such poor quality that it is hardly worth locking the box, it is the type of lock that can only be rated as low security and only suitable for internal use. Any would be thief would be in this box as quickly as if they had the keys, I managed it myself in 4 seconds with a very basic pick, this is most definitely not a secure product . So if you factor in the fact that you will need to replace the lock mechanism then it is a lot of money to pay for a metal box. I have sent emails to the company explaining my concerns - no reply . I have also placed a review on their web site which strangely enough is not listed . so what is the point of having customer reviews published on the website if they filter them and only display the positive ones - very misleading.

Bad Customer service, very long delivery times and to top it off damaged goods.

All in all a bad experience so far! Purchased on line via their own website. The website is not clear that there is a long wait for the product. It isn't until you agree to purchase and pay do you get sent an email saying there is a 4 week lead time. The company didn't care a less when this was pointed out to them as it is mentioned on their website under delivery tab. Their reason being that they are manufactured to order. As the items delivered were very dusty I find it hard to believe that they were manufactured in the last few weeks and managed to accumulate so much dust! It seems more likely that as they use their own vans for delivery they give a four week window so they can utilise the space in their vans depending on location. "All products will normally be manufactured despatched from our warehouse within 3-4 weeks of order (often sooner)* on our own vehicles. Each of our products is made to order and manually checked for defects before despatch. We will only despatch an order when the product has passed our quality control checks. Please note that when ordering online or on the phone via credit/debit card or PayPal you will be charged instantly." They have a like it or lump it attitude. You just have to scour the T&C before agreeing to buy. Item was delivered outside of the agreed window as such I wasn't at home and I had to rely on a retired neighbour at the last minute to kindly take delivery on my behalf. Multiple panels were damaged and the panels are not wrapped or protected for delivery, which I found out when I arrived. Luckily I asked both delivery driver and neighbour to sign 'unchecked'. As I live near the sea it is important that the panels are properly powder coated and galvanised, any damage to protective coatings will mean ingress of water and sea air and rust will soon set in. "What if my delivery is incorrect or damaged? Although we do our utmost to ensure your purchase will arrive in perfect condition, there may be an occasion where there are unavoidable problems. If you discover a problem or have an issue with your product or any aspect of our service, in the first instance please speak to the Asgard delivery drivers (who are employed by us), they will do their utmost to resolve the problem on site." As quoted above I am unable to speak to the delivery driver and will now have to deal with their customer service. In the meantime I am left with an unuseable unassembled shed taking up valuable space. Thanks Asgards. I do not understand why they dont protect the panels for delivery. I have read some reviews below which state that it is very green and eco friendly but to me it saves them money but more to the point risks damage.

MotorCycle Storage From Asgard - Great Product

** UPDATE MAY 12** House was burgled!! Thief took keys to bike... couldn't get into the bike store!! They had a go with a metal bar and screw driver - BIKE SAFE AND UNTOUCHED!! I bought a Motorcycle garage about a year ago. I was somewhat stunned by the cost – at £1000 for a shed, I thought … mmnn maybe not – then after a local builder wanted 5k to build me a garage of similar proportions +planning permission and I went for the shed. The process: Ordered online after 1st phoning and checking they were a real company. The shed is approved by a number of companies, however I am always suspicios of online companies. The shed too 23 days to arrive. Quite a site when it arrives, a very daunting pile of a dozen or so large metal panels. The panels are very heavy and required two people to manoeuvre. They have got trip to casualty written all over them, panels this heavy made from metal could result in lost fingers. A pair of gloves are a must. There were plenty of screws sent with it – again – quite daunting. The instructions were nice and clear, though written by engineers, you can just tell, they have a technical look about they are well illustrated though. Two of us got the shed together in 90 mins - all the bits were there and everything went together very well. A word of warning, the shed has a metal floor, but also a wooden subfloor which sits over the metal floor to protect your tyres. These bits of wood are unbelievably heavy and a tight fit – watch the fingers with these, they suddenly drop into position. This is the same for the roof panels, they are also reinforced so very heavy, when you are lifiting them on to the structure, they suddenly fit into place and drop into some slots – be careful. The lock system is super. Bolts, reinforced doors and a casing around the rear of the lock gives me real assurance this should be a good safe house for my bike. As the unit is quite high and wide, I am able to perform basic maintenance with the bike in the shed, which is a bonus, though it is quite dark at the back. I would recommend this product without hesitation – just be careful with your fingers.

Can't fault the Asgard Shed or Asgard service

Can’t really fault the service or the product. Ordered online, was easy enough. The shed was delivered on the day they said it would be. When it arrived, all the bits were there. The instructions were clear and concise – 1 hour for two of us to build. Lots of screws in the shed, so it is very strong. The locks work well and appear to be very strong – the shelves are tough and work well. All in all an A1 onine shed purchase
